Two weeks ago, Mehrzad Marashi won the 7th season of "German Idol". In order to prevent his first single from becoming #1 on the German singles charts, a huge internet campaign was brought into being. People were asked to buy "Boomerang" by Blümchen instead, a song that was first published in 1996 and reached #11 on the charts back then. Today it was announced that Mehrzad's single still reached #1. However, "Boomerang" entered the charts at #7.
