Robert Gentry, who appeared as Dr. Roger Hunt on "Days of Our Lives" from 1994-1995, has passed away at the age of 81. In the storyline, Dr. Hunt briefly dated Laura Horton. Gentry appeared in countless soap operas through the years. His longest-running roles were as Ed Bauer on "Guiding Light" (1966-1969 and 1996-1998) and Ross Chandler on "All My Children" (1985-1990), a role which netted Gentry two Daytime Emmy nominations. His death was reported in the December SAG-AFTRA Magazine memorial list.

Had a huge crush on him. The original Zaddy!!!

Another sad day for soap losses. I guess he may be best known for his GL and AMC work but he did many soaps. Another AW actor from that one timeframe (79-80) gone too.
