I signed up for Peacock originally to watch the Olympics - especially figure skating and gymnastics.   But I found their coverage difficult to navigate on my antiquated computer, so I ended up watching next-day videos on youtube.

I wish I could navigate Peacock's sports coverage better. I guess I need a more modern computer.

I was watching Chicago Fire episodes the next day on Hulu, because I like the display on Hulu better.  So I was going to unsubscribe from Peacock and just keep Hulu.

But then I learned that Hulu isn't going to host episodes of primetime NBC shows anymore, so I kept Peacock to watch Chicago Fire. (and Days if I feel like it)

I was gonna go look for a pic & just then I saw your post. Yes, I like her very much. I am a little crazy for all three Chicagos. Thnx for looking her up! I'm very annoyed that Jesse Soffer is leaving PD. He was on ATWT before Chicago PD. Excuse us, folks, we just fell into an off-topic rabbit hole.

I apologize for starting that off-topic rabbit hole. I got into the tangent as to why I have Peacock.
I will post about Miranda Rae Mayo  as Stella Kidd in the primetime section later today.

But yeah I will go back to discussing DAYS on this thread.

I get Peacock free for year through Spectrum. Days is comfort food in a way. So i'm glad it's still around. And i do enjoy watching during dinner time. The other day i had a friend over and we watched Days. I had more fun goofing about Days with my friend. Then actually watching the show.

It is lucky to have a soap friend IRL. I used to. But, soap viewing to me is enhanced even by online soap friends. I hate people thinking soap watching is weird. Soap fans are no more weird than are sports fans. Now, other reasons for being weird, that's okay. I'm weird & I know it.

I agree it was really hard to navigate-especially during the Olympics.  They have since removed all the Olympic coverage from Peacock unfortunately. Now if you go to sports and click on figure skating it's much easier to find.  Gymnastics doesn't have it's own icon for whatever reason so I usually go to upcoming in the sports icon or just search Gymnastics and you can find it.  I enjoyed their Golden Gymnastics doc and Meddling about the 2002 skating controversy even though it didn't cover anything new really.  Anyhow, without going into too many details of my life I am highly invested in figure skating and struggled for years paying for crappy feeds for expensive prices, so I love Peacock for that alone.

Again, for me Peacock is absolutely worth the $4.99 I pay because I watch it a lot.  I personally would still pay for it for Days alone, but I don't think Days is doing anything to make it worth it at the moment.   I do actually find myself watching Days consistently though because I can put it on anytime which is helpful.

    • If Jordan never appeared again, I would absolutely not notice or miss her.  So, while Brook Kerr has her flaws, she at least appears to have a pulse and a personality as Portia.
    • That's because India, or the India MKA ended up playing, was created due to the fact that both she and Kristi Farrell were liked by TPTB, but the part they both read for didn't exactly fit either one of them so the show created two brand new characters for both actresses to play (India and Roxie) and opted not to cast the character they were intending to cast (A cousin of Beth's). I think that's why the show seemed to struggle at first with how to write both India and Roxie in their first months on the show because the characters weren't ever intended to exist.  And yes.. Grant A had a great body... but I didn't find him hot when he was playing Phillip.. only when he was playing Alec on AMC which baffles me since it was the same actor in both parts LOL
    • I shared this on Twitter and good grief the comments. Steffy fans can be such vile real-life human beings over a fictional character lol.
    • I remember Michael Logan interviewed L.A. actors/production staff about the movie. Susan Seaforth Hayes said she was dying to know Susan Lucci's reaction.
    • Thanks @Franko  @slick jones You may be interested in the Elisabeth Shue mention. I have to laugh that they apparently didn't even know Teri Hatcher was on Capitol. I have scans somewhere of SPW talking with soap actors about Soapdish. Some, like Mary Stuart, were not happy. I never had a lot of interest in the movie myself.
    • I never had much of a problem with Brandon Claybon's performance as Martin. He has gotten much better though. While I enjoy his confrontational scenes, I must say his lighter, and carefree scenes from Thursday's episode are the ones that stood out most in the last 3 days (to me).   I agree with all of this!
    • I know that Secret Storm had moved back to the 4/3 PM timeslot in the final months on air, so it's possible that they were trying to employ new techniques/elements to lure the teen demographic.   If that episode was around November/December 1973, I do wonder if the owners (AHS) were still trying to shop the show to other networks still.. or if they had accepted that the show was going to officially go off the air in Feb 1974 at the time of this episode airing.
    • Jordan should have been killed or written out a decade ago.
