It's not that serious.  That's great.  It's just my opinion.  You don't have to agree.  I still think it's weird in the context of Chloe/Craig's relationship as father and daughter.

It's so awful.  None of it even makes the slightest bit of sense.  And LG is not working for me at all as Sarenee.  It needs to be over lol.

I missed most of this week. And I'm glad I did. It sure looks to me that the actors aren't sure how to play this material. I had to laugh when Anna wanted Sarah committed and Kayla said she couldn't because she wasn't a danger to anyone. Really? A woman who thinks she's someone else and threatening someone else in Anna. Ok...whatever

Oh and I think the last time I called my dad...daddy I was 3 or 4 years old. Sounded weird Chloe calling Craig..daddy.

Can someone remind me why Ben is jail?  What was the outcome of EJ's trial?  And is Brady still in trouble over the Phillip incident?

This show has such a limited attention span for stories that I've missed the conclusions of all of those plots.

The thing about the Sarah/Renee story that's bad (besides everything) is that the viewer has to do a lot of work. Tony/Anna have given a brief synopsis/exposition of the situation from their sides but no flashbacks, real context, or anything to give this a stronger background.  If you are under 40 (which I assume a lot of the audience is) you would have to google it or look up you tube videos to "get" it.  And I have no problem doing that, but I think most people watch soaps out of habit or not to have to do a lot of work, so it's just problematic all around.  If it was slightly easier to understand for viewers and not done with an actress 30 years younger than the main players it *might* work a little better.

Ben isn't in jail?  EJ was found guilty and is in jail.  Brady is not currently in trouble over the Phillip incident because Kate/Victor took back the declaration that Phillip was legally dead when they found out he was alive.  Phillip is still "missing" but off to get mental health treatment.

So, no one in Salem knows what happened to Don Craig

Though I do like that Tony and Anna are going to be seen more and finally have their own story, this is just so all over the place. And the way LG is playing it isn't helping it either. Sarah was never a lunatic, so Idk why she's acting like one now while she think she's Renee.

I read Lynda Hirsch's summary too quickly and got mixed up by her run-on sentences - thanks

"EJ is stunned when Clyde, Ben's ne'er-do-well father, is his cellmate. Clyde tells him he will give him lessons of surviving life behind bars."

Poor Don.  I am shocked RC didn't write a cheeky line in saying after Don went to mail a letter he started a new, exciting life in Santa Barbara.  I don't want to sound mean or disrespectful to Renee/PS, but I am not sure why Jed Allan got zero love or tribute when he passed, even if it was only Marlena talking about it in a few scenes.

No problem.  The EJ story is stupid.  He got convicted WITHOUT Sami even testifying.

We're only a week into it, but this Renee stuff might be one of the worst stories I've ever seen on a soap. I love seeing Tony and Anna so that's nice, but... wow. Why does no one just sit Sarah in front of a mirror and say, "See, you're not Renee"? Why doesn't someone show her a picture of Sarah? How does "Renee" not notice that Anna and Tony are in their 60s and 70s? How is she not questioning all the new technology that's come about in the past 40 years? This is just dreadful. Those scenes at the mansion today were painful.

    • Just thinking how the Ruth/Leticia guest spot really cemented how Days had changed. Stunt casting with a campy/comedy character in a 'wacky' storyline was something that a few years previously would have been completely out of place on Days (and most other soaps for that matter).
    • I am interested to see how they handle Leslie/Dana down the road. If she continues in this path, it would be unrealistic to have her around. Like other shows have done this with a 'villian' character and ended up with people looking stupid putting up with someone they detest. Another thought-could they be building up to a murder story? Maybe Les/Dan will be left in a coma and we will have a whodunit with several characters as suspect. It would also be a chance to redeem her I wonder how long the show will go w/o resorting to soap cliche stories-twins,switched at birth, murder mystery, long lost child etc
    • Yeah, Martin really did make me laugh when him and Smitty jumped up to drag Leslie out. I am interested in seeing how this fallout will impact his storyline as well. Especially since he is so protective regarding his family/family's image. I am interested in seeing how he will interact with Eva for the time being, they did have a warmer interaction earlier on once they met. But he seems to have doubts about her possibly being Ted's right now. I wonder how long it might take for him to come around with her. I could see the younger generation warming up to her quicker than the older ones. Though of course I think there will be anger/tension for a while regarding the reveal and her role in it. Perhaps Naomi/Chelsea will ease up on Eva first then eventually Martin/Kat might down the line. I really do love Nicole. I'm glad that DD is playing her. She really is the heart of the family and also agree the show. She is so easy to root for and I'm looking forward to seeing how things work out for her. I am enjoying the development of most of the characters on this show. I enjoy most of them including Bill with his trifling self lol. I do feel that Bill's love for his daughters is genuine and that gives him some depth. A few of the characters I don't care for that much (like Bill, Ashley, Vanessa). I wasn't too big on Andre at first, but I am warming up more to him as the actor is settling into the role. I like most of the characters on this show. Also, I am interested in seeing what happens if Eva indeed goes and lives with the new doctor that was introduced. I could see this adding another layer to her story, maybe she will become more vixen-ish, on what type of relationship they end up having. And/or maybe she will end up becoming more hardened as she deals with being an outcast, especially if she falls out with Leslie as well. I think that AM will do a good job of showcasing the different layers of this character as she deals with the fallout of the affair/paternity reveal.

Got another sad news from the Bahamian community (not a celebrity)  https://www.instagram.com/p/DJMSrYCgyes/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ== Former Bahamian Senate President J Henry Bostwick, Husband of former 1st Bahamian Female Cabinet Minister Dame Janet Bostwick is dead yesterday on his 86th birthday.    Thanks and for those who've aren't familiar with the talk shows in The Bahamas on this thread here, his talk show named The Freedom March with Dr Rodney Moncur that airs on ILTV and The Beat 103.5 FM Nassau every weekday afternoons. IIRC, he suffered a illness before he died.  Here's the link for his final taping of the show before his death: https://ewnews.com/this-is-powerful-rodney-moncurs-final-sign-off/

    • One thing I thought about is if Hayley will have a reaction to Bill threatening to kidnap and sell a baby. That's another level of viciousness and with her just having thought she was pregnant it might make her feel some type of way.
    • You're welcome. Fall 1982-Spring 1985 was the peak of primetime soaps. What a time to have been alive.
    • 1990/91 Cheers, Roseanne, A Different World, The Cosby Show, Empty Nest, The Golden Girls were still Top 10 shows, and Murphy Brown and Designing Women became Top 10 shows. It was the following season that I think was the transition season for sitcoms.
    • @xtr I loved Martin in Thursday's episode, he was almost a different character. I thought he was flirty, funny, carefree, and giggly. Glad I have someone to share my top 2 women(Nicole and Eva) with, I agree Nicole is the heart of the Dupree family, and also the heart of the show IMO. We rode into the show on the passenger side of her car, lol. What I am enjoying the most about the show, is that they did such a great job character building, because all I care about is the CHARACTER journey. Nicole, Eva, Leslie, Dani, Chelsea, etc. very invested in what's coming next. I even feel that way about Mona, Shanice, and Doug.
