Members King
Sounds like the March Madness isn't just on CBS this year. DAYS and JER are employing this weird strategy of boring sweeps months and rocking pre and post sweeps months. It's kind of nice!
Members KLN
Ugh, see why I'm not crazy about Farah? It's things like this. She's so outspoken, and she's hardly a vet. IMO, unless you've been at a show for ten years, you really don't have a right to be !@#$%^&*]ing like this. You've got a job. The vets have paid their dues -- they're allowed to !@#$%^&*]. Newbies like Farah, though? Get over it! So the wedding wasn't ALL ABOUT SHAWN AND MIMI. Who gives a flyin' fruitcake? !@#$%^&*] to somebody who cares. Farah had better be careful, because she's been saying alot of things lately as a tongue-in-cheek way of revealing that she's unhappy, frustrated, bored and whatnot. The bosses might not like that too much. Besides, does she not realize that there are people out there who DON'T like Shawn and Mimi together? For them, why would they WANT this to be a pretty fairytale wedding for them? Farah's basically saying, "Screw the Shawn/Belle relationship. I want Shimi!" Well, it's not about you. She seems so desperate to be part of a supercouple, as if that's the only thing that will cement her status on the show or something. I don't know. Whatever it is, it's annoying. You're paid thousands of dollars per episode, miss Fath. Keep your fat mouth shut and act! Meanwhile, Mimi and Belle are both imperfect. I think that's what makes this whole story interesting. For the longest time, these characters had no dimension. Belle was perfect, Phillip was popular, Shawn was the rebel with a heart, Mimi was the cute 'n funny best friend. Now, they're finally being fleshed out. Belle isn't perfect. She's not malicious, but she's not perfect. Same with Mimi. Phillip's still a nobody, which is why he's the biggest bore of the bunch. And Shawn is finally NOT all about Belle, which is a nice spin for the character.
Members Pest Spray
Not to mention, this is NOTHING compared to what SUPERCOUPLES went through. John & Marlena's wedding that fans waited for for YEARS. Some since 1991 (the wedding was in 1999, with a cancelled one in 1997)... Shimi haven't even been together a year, even romantically interested in each other for a friggin year. When they've been through hell and back and their wedding is ruined after 13 years of when they met - get back to me. Last year this time, Mimi was engaged to Rex. I agree Kenny. She doesn't have the vet status so that she can !@#$%^&*] about the show the amount that she does. Had it been Deidre or Kristian or Missy - it would be different. Members SteveFrame
All of the previews sound good to me. I will be excited to see how this all plays out. I am looking forward to the wedding. I know that Belle and Shawn are the main couple here, but in many ways until the twist with the baby and Mimi keeping the truth from Shawn - I really liked Shawn & Mimi alot. I was even thinking for awhile that Mimi might turn out to be Shawn's true love and Belle be transformed into the bitch. That would have been a nice twist watching Belle try to break up Shawn & Mimi. But now they have manipulated Mimi into once again following the pattern of keeping a secret and making fans hate her because she is keeping the truth from Shawn about his daughter. But I did really like Shawn & Mimi in the beginning and was hoping to see it go that way. On another note, remember gang to vote in the SON Top 10. Matt will post the link later today. We are not looking good over there, and we all need to vote vote vote. Any ideas on who everybody is pulling for this week? Would love to get a concensus like the other shows do and push those individuals. Let me know.
Members DaysGal
I absolutely love it that Farah is so outspoken. At least you know what you're getting with her, instead of sugar coating something like Martha does. Of course Belle would make this wedding all about her. That's the way its been for a long time now. I'm just glad Jason and Farah added the "Shimi-isms" for all their fans. That's what I like about them. Of course it was, but precious Belle can do no wrong. She goes around telling Shawn that she will not allow him to make the same mistake she did, well how about Mrs. K tell her husband that she doesn't love him and wants to be with Shawn first? But of course, she wants to know she has Shawn in her corner first before she leaves Philip. Of yes, this will get really interesting when the paternity comes out. Shimi angst will come and Shawn will have to make a decision on who he really loves.
Members Pest Spray
Who he really loves? It's not about that. He loves both of them. Anyone can see that. Mimi lied to him. Period. I like outspoken people too. Martha sugercoats? She seems more professional though. She's sticking to the guidelines of the job.
Members FanODays
I'm thinking that Fath knows damned well that she has no role on the show unless she is tied to a major character. She's fighting for job security hence the need to put Shimi-isms in there when the story itself isn't about Shimi, its about Shelle. I love that Belle is messing up and is going to be left with one giant mess. After years of hearing about how perfect she was its great to see her become flawed. Members px780
I don't think Fath's so bad, this time. I think she's just fixated on her fans, which isn't such a bad strategy if she's planning to leave soon, so she's playing up to them. It's also nice to know that both she and Cook are contributing to the show now, if they really did work to ensure that there were some genuine Shawn/Mimi moments stuck in there. Hopefully it makes them better than what they were before when they (and other people) were so clearly not invested in the show at all. I don't know why we'd need to pit Madison against Fath, though, in order to discuss what Fath said.
Members Q Steph
Exactly. I've never liked the character of Mimi. She has a pattern of being a sneaky, two faced !@#$%^&*] but casts the blame off to someobody else. She needs to be brought down to earth.
Members King
Exactly, Linn. Couples must go through hell. Weddings are never this easy. Which is why, I think now more than ever, that Shawn/Mimi are just temporary, and the show has no intention of keeping them together in the long run. If you look at this from a Shawn/Belle angle, they ARE being tortured and kept apart.
Members FanODays
And I think Fath has finally figured that out and she is not happy. Her future on the show depends on who Mimi is paired with otherwise she is of no use. Belle, like it or not is part of a core family and could be in other stories. Members PhoenixRising05
I love SHIMI but even I know its temporary. Fath is outspoken and sometimes she goes overbard but I like people who speak their minds so I don't mind it. Martha rocks too though so I like both of them. I know Shelle is the rooting couple but Corday has said several times that both couples are viable so who knows. I do agree on the fact that that Fath is fighting for job security. I think she is afraid with the writing that fans may hate her or her character may be destroyed during this which I can understand. I love how everyone in this story is flawed though-it makes it all so interesting. Can't wait for the wedding and reception though.
Members Bree
Farah does shoot off her mouth way too much. I know soap stars should be able to voice frustrations about storylines, but I don't see anything for her to !@#$%^&*] about. Even though there are fans out there who don't like Mimi or Shimi, she is a popular actress on the show and should be lucky that many people have warmed to this insta-coupling, because that's exactly what Shimi is. If Farah sounds this unhappy, maybe she should do us a favor and leave DAYS. I know I'm tired of hearing her whiny drunken voice.
