April 9, 20205 yr Member Even is there were pre-emptions, could it be that the bloom is off the proverbial rose, in regard to the possibility of fallen away viewers rediscovering soaps? Y&R seems like it's not longer going to benefit from having a near captive audience with quarantined folks, who no doubt, have discovered that they have other viewing choices (or audiobooks). That dropoff over the last week for B&B, what even is that??😂

Only TPIR increased in viewers. Edited April 9, 20205 yr by Soapsuds
April 9, 20205 yr Author Administrator GH and B&B counted the repeats in the average or else they would've had higher numbers. The 2.6 and 2.7 million viewers for GH does look good though. I wouldn't be surprised if GH hit 3 million viewers in the dailies. And the 2.4 million for DAYS (in dailies) is higher than they've been getting too. So the soaps are benefiting from people staying at home.

Y&R's was planned, hence why they didn't have to count it.

Down from last year when there wasn’t a quarantine.
