Members DramatistDreamer
Even is there were pre-emptions, could it be that the bloom is off the proverbial rose, in regard to the possibility of fallen away viewers rediscovering soaps? Y&R seems like it's not longer going to benefit from having a near captive audience with quarantined folks, who no doubt, have discovered that they have other viewing choices (or audiobooks). That dropoff over the last week for B&B, what even is that?? Please register in order to view this content
Members Soapsuds
Not even the stay at home state can bring in the viewers anymore. The soaps should've went up this week too instead of dropping. Only TPIR increased in viewers. Edited April 9, 2020 by Soapsuds
Administrator Toups Posted April 9, 2020 Author Administrator Share Posted April 9, 2020 GH and B&B counted the repeats in the average or else they would've had higher numbers. The 2.6 and 2.7 million viewers for GH does look good though. I wouldn't be surprised if GH hit 3 million viewers in the dailies. And the 2.4 million for DAYS (in dailies) is higher than they've been getting too. So the soaps are benefiting from people staying at home. Webmaster Errol Posted April 9, 2020 Webmaster Share Posted April 9, 2020 The B&B/GH repeats were scheduled at the last minute. Y&R's was planned, hence why they didn't have to count it.

VanessaReardon
Y&R is not benefitting. Down from last year when there wasn’t a quarantine.
