Season 3...good season...great arc. But XENA almost always had good arcs.

Yeah...back when shows had senses of humor...but I didn't. lol.

New season premieres July 3! YAY!

I read the omnibus (a compilation of several novellas) that's under the title Wool years ago--it's really a superb adaptation.

I just finished a French series on HBO MAX called "Seduction." It's a retelling of Dangerous Liaisons, starting with how Valmont and the young woman who becomes the Marquise de Merteuil first meet. I liked it much more than I expected.

Yes! Why is it still there??
Some of us always had the notion that Carlton was one of those guys that are sitting around, waiting for their "best friend" to mess up so that he can swoop down, like that man under glass (do not break-only in case of emergency). Just sleazy.
Having said that, I'm now more convinced than ever that the writers should stop trying to make Carlton some sort of heroic figure and lean into his scheming and connect him to Leslie and Eva, as Eva's real bio dad. That would inject some desperately needed dramatic twists. I'm not saying to write it as if Carlton knew all along but as though he might have suspected when Leslie came back to town and brought Eva with her but pushed it out of his mind because he knew a breakup between the Richardsons would give him a clear shot at Nicole. It would give some much needed layers to this story.

That is actually what happened after Maureen was killed off. Ed was struggling and very close to falling off the wagon. It had to do with the conflicts between him and Michelle, as she suspected what had happened and was punishing him (as well as Lillian) for the affair. No one wanted to tell Michelle, but she was a smart girl and figured it out all on her own.
There was a scene where Nola shunned Ed, when she returned to town. Nola had to go to the Emergency Room, and Ed was on call. But she refused to be seen by him, and they had this big blow-up over the affair.

I don't think it's beyond the scope of possibility. Not at all, sad to say. Elder abuse as committed by adult women is more common than most people realize. And much of it is committed by family members. Unassuming, gentile Henry would make an easy target, no matter how unpalatable the thought.
You could have Hawk or HB be the target of the abuse, but that would involve Reva, which means the story would be about her, her blubbering and how misunderstood she is. No thanks.
Reva needed to be Patient Zero in a STD story that left some additional Springfield residents sterile. Have her sh*tty, self-centered behavior permanently (negatively) affect the lives of others. Reva deserved nothing less.
Buzz needed to flip out in a PTSD rage and commit suicide.
