This press release was wrong because neilsen last week averaged repeats in the ratings.

The press release listed above is the week after the Nielsen snafu.

If you go by the "unofficial" numbers posted by Toups for the week of Dec 30, you're right; if you don't count the classic episode on Dec 30, Y&R averaged 5,090,000 viewers for the week of Dec 26-30, which is more than the 4.98 million viewers that Y&R averaged (per the press release) for the week ending Jan 6.

 

But if CBS goes by the numbers published by Nielsen, which showed a lower average for Y&R for the W/E Dec 30, then 4.98 is a high point.

Go Gutsy Hospital. This is just awesome the demo increases. Jean and Shelly are the biggest success story in soaps. Go Gutsy Hospital.

So glad B&B slipped to #3 in demos. It is truly deserved considering the crap storylines or lack of that Bradley Bell is force feeding the viewers.

Soapsuds u havent give Jean Passanante any praise. I mean u go way back with her since ATWT. Shes nearing her 25th anniversary writung soaps

GH is still sh!t. It has company now with B&B and Bradley Bell's writing.

these ratings are abysmal especially Days, not a good sign when the NBC execs have the show on the chopping block.  Viewers are not tuning in at all.  Sally looks like she couldn't replicate YR typical January surge.  After Monday it was mostly downhill for YR viewers.

It's strange to me GH stayed the same in total viewers but went up over 100,000 in 18-49 demos.

B&B is still my guilty pleasure...But I hear ya Soapssuds.

 

I worry if Days will get renewed.

Days ia still doing higher viewership then it was under Griffith.
