February 23, 201610 yr Member Thanks. The stuff about Joe Mascolo makes me feel sad, but it was certainly visible enough onscreen. As for this, it speaks volumes about Griffith as a writer and about the death of this genre: In the 80’ and the 90’s, the Hortons and the others are always lovely people. They always smelled like a rose. When (former DAYS co head writers) Josh Griffith comes along, he says, “No, let’s make these characters human.”
