Dr. Charles Weldon (Ted Danson) will be arriving soon. He will be the new psychiatrist replacing Dr. John Morrison.

Wasnt Danson playing Mitch Pierson?

A lot of actors played multiple short term roles. I didn't know Danson was Dr. Charles Weldon until Carol Waffel, who captions The Doctors for Retro, saw his name in the credits, and recognized him. She's been a great source of information. She's currently captioning early 1975.  Dr. Mitch Pierson arrives in 1977. I believe it was just a two day role.

 Charles Weldon was a character name on Edge of Night also. How often does that happen?

 

I can think of John Randolph on AW and LOL and Laura Spencer on DOOL and GH.

Dr. Charles "Chuck" Weldon will be Greta's shrink when she believes Mike has been "reincarnated", then move to a small Illinois town "across the Bay" called Somerset.    He'll be going by the name Tom Conway there...

 We both think she may have been either Susan Blake or the elusive Valerie Powers. Of course, she could be another character altogether.
