"I played Tony, the young thug who isn't Ox Baker the professional wrestler. The character was originally Pete in the script, but I asked Chris McIntyre, the producer, if they could call me by my name, Tony."

An article on Jay Meredith, who played Althea on the radio version states

Jack Lemmon was once her husband on "The Brighter Day, "

so Bruce was played the great Jack Lemmon on radio.
