Ratings for the week June 16-20, 2014

Damn one day GH has 3.3 million as Nina is big success. God damn GH is consistent this June has been spectacular and July will be even better. Y and R went back up in viewers and JFP winning the Emmy I don't see her going anywhere. DAYS needs a push the numbers are kind of dissapointing.

Hopefully Eileen davidsons three month return with Samis exit will push ratings higher.

Yeah, but as we are consistently reminded, the 18-49 demo is what advertisers care about, no? GH has consistently bled viewers for the past 3 or 4 weeks in this category. You can have 10 million viewers, but if 95% of them are 12 year olds, who cares?

3.3 million on Tuesday with 400k gone by week's end is good? Stunt casting will get this show but so far. No matter who you cast, quality is a thing of the past.

Oh god it's a justification and rationalization constantly your upset GH does so well. I am shocked this June has done so well up almost 600,000 from last year is huge it's give me goosebumps

I'm not rationalizing one bit. I'm giving you facts and not some robotic response of my hopes and dreams. I don't just want GH to do well in numbers. I want the show to be good again and make sense but that's a crime?

Criitical acclaim in TV never keeps your show on the air. GH got much better gift then the Emmys but fantastic ratings all year. 2013 was their highest rated year since 2007.

Another fact is GH was only down 3000 last week and remember it was number 1 in all key demos and up 122000 from year before its the only soap from year ago.

The fact is, Johnny, you have reminded us COUNTLESS times that 18 - 49, the key demo, is all advertisers care about, yet the show is bleeding viewers in this category. The same for YR. They are up 200k viewers but down 4k in the KEY DEMO. This is the 2nd consecutive week (or 3rd). No matter what they are up overall, shouldn't there be some concern here in regards to advertisers?

ETA: For the past few weeks, both CBS and ABC has sent out dissertations about how great their shows are doing this year while both are falling in the key demo. That distraction doesn't work for everyone.
