CSI Cyber: Discussion Thread

CSI: CYBER – CSI: CYBER stars Emmy Award winner Patricia Arquette in a drama inspired by the advanced technological work of real-life CyberPsychologist Mary Aiken. Special Agent Avery Ryan (Arquette) heads the Cyber Crime Division of the FBI, a unit at the forefront of solving illegal activities that start in the mind, live online, and play out in the real world. She also knows firsthand how today’s technology allows people to hide in the shadows of the Internet and commit serious crimes of global proportion. While other agents search for criminals in dark homes and alleys, Ryan searches the “dark net,” a place deep in the bowels of the Web where criminals are anonymous, money is untraceable and where everything is for sale with just a keystroke.

Emmy Award winner Ann Donahue, Carol Mendelsohn, Anthony Zuiker, and Emmy Award winners Jerry Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman are executive producers for CBS Television Studios.

Still baffled that this was picked up, but CBS seems to be rotting away, slowly.

Best of luck to Patricia Arquette. I wish that cute guy who played her husband on Medium could be on this too. I liked them together.

This is #4.

I have to admit I never thought they'd do any other offshoots (I don't like calling these spinoffs) since they'd canned the other two and the first one is in its twilight years. I think this is a great example of how they've failed in their drama department in the last 4-5 years. I don't believe they ever expected they'd have to go back to the CSI well.

I don't think they hd to go bck to hthis. CBS had by far the most renewly, double what others had even. It's fine.

The cyber crimes angle is interesting. The show likely doesn't need the csi name to carry it tho. I'm interested in seeing it.
