"DAYS OF OUR LIVES" TIES ITS RECORD WITH SIX ACTORS SHARING THE TOP SPOT AS MONTHLY EPISODE LEADER!

"Days of Our Lives" tied its top spot for most monthly episode leaders with six actors sharing the top spot. Tied for the lead, with 14 episodes each in March, were: Kate Mansi (Abigail), Melissa Reeves (Jennifer), James Scott (EJ), Alison Sweeney (Sami), Greg Vaughan (Eric) and Arianne Zucker (Nicole). "Days" has had two other months in the past when six people shared the lead: December 1978 (Tracey Bregman/Donna, Wesley Eure/Mike, Rosemary Forsyth/Laura, Bill Hayes/Doug, Susan Seaforth Hayes/Julie & Barbara Stanger/Mary) and August 1995 (Kristian Alfonso/Hope, Christie Clark/Carrie, Austin Peck/Austin, Peter Reckell/Bo, Lisa Rinna/Billie & Alison Sweeney/Sami).

According to my math only one big move in March 2014 amongst actors and characters appearing in 1000+ episodes, and that is.....

1) The character of EJ DiMera (with 1481 episodes) officially passes the character of Kayla Brady (with 1474 episodes) to become the 32nd most appearing character in DOOL history. EJ is TIED with Phillip Kirikias for this position at #32 as Phillip also currently has 1481 episode appearances. This bumps Kayla down to the 34th most appearing character in DOOL history.

And a sneak peak... If current trends continue, in April we will see a HUGE move of one actor moving up the ranks
