Members Mitch
Damn, I loved Collinwood. My parents should have know something was wrong with me as a little kid when my sister and brother wanted to live in the Father's Knows Best neighborhood (in reruns right after DS) and I wanted to live at Collinwood! What fun for a kid, ghosts, vamps, diva witches, but most importantly, secret passages, a crypt where you pull the lion head rings and they open, a graveyard constantly in fog.... Members Pine Charles
The original exterior used for Wildwind was the Lyndhurst estate (in Tarrytown, NY) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyndhurst_%28mansion%29 They used a different house for exterior shots later on, though. Members robbwolff
Mitch, If I remember correctly, the Reardon boarding house and Quint and Nola's wedding were taped somewhere in northern New Jersey. I lived in Central Jersey at the time and recall reading that the location filming was in New Jersey. I grew up in East Brunswick, NJ, which was home to many in the soap industry -- Felicia Minei Behr, William Mooney, Richard Van Vleet, Erwin Nicholson.
