Right, going back and reading no one said anything about ganging up on. However I was told to relax as if I'm not allowed to express an opinion.

U were not only told to relax, but u r confused and also your opinion isn't objective, as iff the ones disagreeing are lol!

Again, you are failing to see or consider what I am saying.

You are taking this way, way, waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too far and seriously. Unless I specifically said one's opinions are invalid or that my judgments are (inevitably) objective, please don't say I did.

ALL I am discussing is the fact that a lot of viewers cannot differentiate between actor & character, as well as personal opinion versus actual skill. I never said anything about specific judgments or who's "better." I was just attempting to have a discussion on acting skills that was not based on "I like him, so he's good. End of. IMO." For example, I think Tom Cruise has turned in some very good performances. But I really dislike him. It's that easy.

But apparently a message board is not the place for that?

Please. Cue the violins.

Exactly. Some people are just too easily willing to play victims, acting as if any expression of disagreement is becoming a gang, and that's what gets old, fast.

You're assuming that I can't differentiate between a character and an actor..but I can. My like for BM has nothing to do with the fact that I like the character but his talent pure and simple.

That's their opnions and they're entitled to it.

If you are using emmy noms and wins as an indication for stellar acting then CK and BM are both outstanding...

Side note: I actually think CK is a good actress. Miscast in the role, but a good actress. Of course, that is unpopular.

I really only brought up emmy noms because IF (and that's a big IF) acting isn't subjective, then who better to listen to when it comes to acting skills than other actors.

Also I agree about CK. She get bashed because people want Lily to be act more like Dru. I also felt she was miscast at first but no longer hold that opinion. Lily is her own person and most people I know don't really act like their parents. Also Dru grew up in the "streets" while Lily had a cushy upbringing so of course they should act differently.

I don't think she should act just like Dru either. However, I do think she should act like a child raised in Paris by Dru...have a tad bit more sophistication. She is way too All American girl for that.

Did anyone else notice how close cane and Victoria stood on? today's show...and how Devon made the statement about Billy and Cane not getting along...what the heck was that? Are the writers about to revive the Billy and Cane rivalry?

  • Member

Well

Tristan Rogers is coming back and he might be the one who kidnapped Jill

True...but Cane hates him too...seem like they wouldn't have any disagreements over that. I think that will probably start writing them as brothers again. If Jill and Colin are an item, that is. I don't think colin took her. I think he will save her

I really felt bad for Chloe but she sounded ridiculous

So did Chelsea. She was talking to Chloe like she was her child. "You can't move with us...maybe in a year or so when we get settled"...not that Chloe should be moving but she can live where ever she wants. If she wants to move to paris, who is chelsea to dictate to can't. This was horrible dialogue for two adult women. Ma

I noticed about Cane and Victoria. They probably won't go that route though....or would they?

I concur. They both made no sense whatsoever. Chloe could move to paris and get her own place there while Adam and Chelsea could still start their new life together.

Hell all three of them should move to Paris and take Kevin with them.

I doubt it but....I can see them using Cane's finger wagging to get sympathy for Billy when the affair comes out...so they have to show affection between Cane and Victoria for that to work.

I never even thought Chloe meant to live with them. She doesn't now so why would she insinuate that. And I don't think Chelsea thought she meant that. She was basically telling her she couldn't live in paris...she should have said that. But I guess that wouldn't be in line with Chelsea's halo and their friendship.

I truly resent Chelsea. I can't wait for her little dream life to shatter.
