I would have rather they made Dylan one of the long lost Brooks children and have Jill as his aunt....age is never an importance on this show but it's such poor taste for him to be the baby Jack and Nikki lost.....I would love if Nikki really did have a child with Paul she gave up who was Dylan but I don't think they ever indicated that Paul got Nikki Pregnant in the 70s.

I could see Dylan as Chuck Foster the son of Snapper and waitress Sally McGuire more than Nikki.

There was never any talk of Nikki having been pregnant by Paul. Not long after Paul was introduced he was in the storyline where he had gotten April Stevens pregnant and wanted her to have an abortion. She didn't and gave birth to Heather. Paul refused to accept her till she almost died and married April. Nikki and her husband at the time Greg Foster were involved in this story as well.

Oh my God... Y&R was never a show about missing children showing up all the time. Now Jill is Lauren's sister and Devon is Kay's grandson for no reason.

Dylan as a soap character is as charismatic and important as Cliff Wilson or DOOL Cal Winters.

Katherine's death should be a storyline about Jill. Ending up living all alone in the Chancellor mansion. All she needs is a handsome younger man (revisiting the Kay/Phillip/Jill triangle with Jill in Kay's part), her niece Jennifer Foster working for her and perhaps Phillip Chancellor IV returning to GC, staying with his grandmother and falling for a girl from the wrong side of the tracks.

From the beginning several peopl suggested he be a part of the Foster or Brooks family. By doing that he'd still be tied to Y&R history, but there is enough leeway that they could develop whatever whatever type of character they wanted. They could've gotten some 40th anniversary buzz by bringing back David Hasselholf to launch the story, or he could've been Lorie Brooks' son and they could've brought back Lorie, who has strong ties to the Newman and Chancellor family. Not only that, but the Brooks legacy in publishing would be perfect for this type of show. I don't think Steve Burton fits on the show, but they made no attempt to tie him in a way that made sense. Three new characters in a major frontburner storyline generally doesn't work, especially when they're as dull as Chelsea, Avery and Dylan.

I think Victor scheme going to have something to do with Dylan.

It's going to have chilly effects on family. " friends" I didn't know he had any. & Now they can say keeping kids from original fathers or parents runs in the genes.
