January 28, 201312 yr Member One of Marcie's storylines at the time was dealing with the fact that she was overweight and struggling with insecurities about her image, which was why she latched onto Jen and kept comparing herself to her and feeling miserable bc she couldnt be beautiful as her. Frons was speaking about what was going on with the character and I didnt see anything wrong addressing that. The show wasnt pretending that she wasnt fat. It was clearly written into the script and they were trying to tell a message with it, which concluded with Marcie accepting herself as Al fell in love with her and accepted her for who she was, flaws and all I get what you are saying, and you are saying it far better than Frons. Besides the overweight comment, he outright described an actress in his line-up as ugly, which you don't do, and linked it to her weight. Frons wasn't good at his job for many reasons, and his attempts at PR were horrid. I just can't give him the credit that you do, and I'm surprised that he didn't make an even more crass comment. He shouldn't have been allowed to speak with the press unsupervised. Edited January 28, 201312 yr by EnglishTea
