Eh, Donna was always only there for a year, so I'm willing to give Bill the same consideration.

The ending for Donna is part of the reason I'm kind of wary...

Even more Karen Gillan as Nebula (and Fleetwood Mac) in the new GOTG trailer.

Nothing 100% official yet, but it sounds like the Class spinoff has been cancelled. It may get one more chance to connect with American audiences when it runs on BBC America shortly, but I doubt that'll do it.

I guess I should watch it soon...

I don't usually watch RiffTrax - it seems more just cranky and cynical than the actual Mystery Science Theater 3000 (which I eagerly await the return of next month) - but I might have to for this: They're doing The Five Doctors.

Oh, I love Mike - I preferred him to Joel, though I like both. I don't care that he's a Republican as it never got into the show, which was always pretty liberal.

That's great. I'm so pleased they're going to try something new and treat it respectfully.

Naoko Mori (Toshiko, Torchwood) has a brief bit in Life as astronaut Hiroyuki Sanada's wife on Earth - she speaks entirely Japanese and gives birth over Skype.

I really don't understand the BBC's plan to Class.  It was handled badly from the start. What were they expecting from a web series in the first place?

Rona Munro - the writer of the final classic Who story, Survival - is writing episode ten of the incoming season, The Eaters of Light.

I read a very interesting interview with her several years back. I'm surprised she's writing for the show again but I will look forward to the episode.

Well, hmm, here's a casting spoiler:

Both Michelle Gomez and John Simm will return as the Master this series.

I'm not thrilled to see the latter again as I tired of him, but whatever, he was popular.
