I was over a friend's apartment and we were watching the Thanksgiving special. That was all kinds of nasty. Making your children eat raw collard greens and fat back? Alana digging her hands all in the cranberry sauce? Alana sneezing all over the turkey? June's big, nasty ass rubbing butter all over the turkey? I've seen it before, but its look they have upped the gross factor and know they have to be nasty to keep the checks coming in. Even Sugar Bear (?) Was disgusted at them eating the raw collards. Smdh.

Raw collard greens?? How is that even possible. I hope they at least rinsed them. My friend who is from down south was telling me how her family also used to do the ketchup/butter spaghetti sauce thing and to this day, she'll add a little ketchup to her store bought sauce.

I just saw the Thanksgiving special and watching that family cook and eat for an entire hour was nasty as hell

June cooking the turkey? I dont think Ive ever see a worst cook bird on tv. This rivals Hottie on FOL but at least Im convinced it was a complete joke with her. June and Alana SMOTHERED that thing with butter all while June was sneezing all over it. Disgusting!

And why would they have Thanksgiving dinner ouside? A mess. Alana goes to get the cranberry sauce with her hands. Do they not use utensils?

Call me ignorant but Ive never had collard greens and wouldnt have known you cant eat them raw. Id have assumed they were like spinach. I was more disgusted that she threw them on the table and didnt even get the girls some bowls

That's just a personal ew for me because I don't like ketchup in large quantities (I love ketchup and black pepper/Old Bay and mustard on McDonald's fries, but that's about as far as it goes). I LOVE red pasta sauce, but I cannot stand the smell of cold tomato paste products. I had a friend who used to eat cold spaghetti with a tall glass of milk and that just grossed me out, schloshin' it all around in his mouth. It was just like that nasty bathtub scene in Gummo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARNRlkuTmjs

    • Thanks @P.J. If my math is correct, Jordan Clarke runs were 1983-1987, 1989-1993, 1997-end.
    • I was/am mainlining both the Dream Season and Season 7 of KL together, since that was the year of their big creative swap. That's the most I can take of Dallas consecutively. But I've been very preoccupied with other shows and work IRL and I need to get back to it after a long break from my Knots binge.
    • Wk 1 95/96 MSW moves to Thurs, Cybill takes the Sunday slot. Thurs 8-9pm NBC Friends #3 20.5/33 The Single Guy #6 19.2/30 CBS Murder She Wrote #55 9.3/15 ABC Charlie Grace #74 7.6/12 FOX Living Single # 78 7.2/12 The Crew #80 7.0/11 Sunday 8-9pm NBC Mad about You # 15 14.6/23 Hope & Gloria #35 11.7/18 ABC Lois & Clark # 38 11.4/18 CBS Cybill #49 9.8/15 Almost Perfect #65 8.1/12 FOX Space Above & Beyond (2nd hr of 2hr episode) #51 9.5/15 60 Minutes was #19 so a lot of viewers didn't stay for Cybill. On Sunday, Sept. 24, CBS finished third on the night, and its performance among 18 -49 year olds was worse than it was with the older skewing Murder, She Wrote in the time period last year.  So moving MSW was a foolish move at that point. It was compatible with 60 Minutes and would probably have finished Top 20-25 for the week. They should have left Sunday alone and concentrated on other nights..
    • I’ve been watching Knots and FC rather compulsively for a while now. Currently in fall 1983 with both. I had Dallas in there, too, but I am rather shocked at how stale that show gets after Jock’s death. Meanwhile, I can spend hours in the vineyards and in the cul-de-sac.
    • What will actually change though? Does this mean the sets will be different too? Or how exactly is this gonna look like to the viewers?
    • I'm not sure Passions is the model to emulate here.
    • Passions had Chad sleeping with his cousin nephew Vincent, ironically played by Daphne Duplaix (disguised as Valerie)

    • @Errol confirmed JFP is back in a non-producing role.
    • Same tbh. His brother got all the attention as he got older and hotter but Eric I like best. I need to get back to this show.
    • *watching season 5* Me: “I wish they did more with Eric, he’s so cute and sweet.” *Eric slaps the piss out of Diana* Me: “Godddddd, I love Eric!!!!”
