My DVR did not record the last half of the emmy telecast and I really do not want to re watch the whole thing. I tried looking on YT but know luck! All I am trying to find are all of the tributes/montages.

Does anyone know where I can find them?

SERIOUSLY!!! I kept thinking HLN was going to do something big for AMC! Was it just me or was something misleading?

They said they were going to do a tribute. And technically, I guess, they did...Susan Lucci came out and talked for a few minutes about AMC, Erica Kane, and soaps in general. Then Cameron Matthison came out, and did Erika Slezak. They each talked a bit.

But nope, no montage, tribute, nothing.

It was awful.

I'm so glad I recorded it. Thank goodness for recording devices and remote controls that allow you to fastforward.

ALL: Characters that fizzled

Tom Dennison on OLTL. Lee Paterson had been very popular in a 10 year run in the 70's. Joe and Viki had been a super popular couple with only death tearing them apart.
So having Lee back to work with Erika meant the possibility of the magic happening again.
Would Viki get into a hot triangle with Clint and Tom, the twin of her past love?
But nothing really happened and LP left without anyone really noticing.

Dear GH: The Chase/Nathan scene at PCPD easily could've taken place in the steamroom.
LOL at Laura saying Alexis would never abuse power. Other than stealing from your grandchild's trust, getting your son involved in Kristina's cover-up and holding Rick hostage for a month. Yeah, Alexis' moral character is far superior to Drew's. Ugh.
Carlo sure relished his scenes with JE! It's strange, but I enjoy his spin on the big bad. It's a lot more entertaining than having yet another dark, moody, blah character (e.g., Cullum). I kinda want Sidwell to stick around - word I thought I'd never type!

DAYS: February 2026 Discussion Thread

They did a nice job with Billy Flynn's farewell tour. I even got emotional in that final scene. He's been one of the constants for over a decade at this point. I'll miss Cary Christopher as Thomas, too -- one of the few memorable non-demon children I can ever recall on this show.
This is possibly the most boring stalker storyline I have ever seen, though. To the characters' knowledge, has this stalker even DONE anything besides write some messages? Stephanie and Alex are constantly being lovey-dovey instead of seeming frightened or have anything happen to me, so it feels completely without teeth.

Another World Discussion Thread

As much as I loved Lemay's AW, it was far from perfect. So I'd suggest that Agnes Nixon's era was probably better. Lemay's AW was wonderful and full of character driven material, but Lemay's plots were infrequent and fairly weak. As I've mentioned before, Lemay's AW was almost plotless -- nearly to the point of being experimental television. Don't misunderstand, I was completely addicted to Lemay's AW. But it was because of his characters, not his plots. Watching AW everyday from 1971 to 1979, I was often frustrated by the lack of the distinct storylines played out on other soaps of that period. But I could not stop watching because Lemay's characters were so believable and compelling.

On the other hand, Nixon's work on AW was also character-driven, but did include normal soap opera plots with a beginning, a middle, and an end. So I will suggest Another World's golden age began when Agnes Nixon was hired as head-writer, continued through the Robert Cenadella era, and then the golden age ended in 1979, when Harding Lemay resigned as head-writer.

Good points. It's definitely a huge what might have been, especially as Willis was drawn to Alice. Rachel's reaction to two Frame brothers loving Alice would have been volcanic. I imagine Lemay would have had Alice still become drawn to Willis, maybe if Steve has become too successful or the ties he has to Rachel over Jamie still gnaw at her. And Steve probably would have ended up being drawn to Rachel again in jealousy over Willis dating her.
