Members Max
I thought it would be interesting to list the weekday television schedules for your local ABC, CBS, and NBC stations. More than anything else, I am curious if any of the affiliates or O&Os air daytime programming in the "wrong" time slots (or if they have done so in the past). Please begin with each network's morning show, and end right before prime-time starts. I get the New York City stations, all of which are O&Os. WCBS-TV, Channel 2 (CBS): 7:00A.M.-9:00A.M. - CBS This Morning 9:00A.M.-10:00A.M. - The Doctors 10:00A.M.-11:00A.M. - LMAD 11:00A.M.-12:00P.M. - TPIR 12:00P.M.-12:30P.M. - CBS 2 News at Noon 12:30P.M.-1:30P.M. - Y&R 1:30P.M.-2:00P.M. - B&B 2:00P.M.-3:00P.M. - The Talk 3:00P.M.-4:00P.M. - Dr. Phil 4:00P.M.-4:30P.M. - Judge Judy 4:30P.M.-5:00P.M. - Judge Judy 5:00P.M.-6:00P.M. - CBS 2 News at 5 6:00P.M.-6:30P.M. - CBS 2 News at 6 6:30P.M.-7:00P.M. - CBS Evening News 7:00P.M.-7:30P.M. - The Insider 7:30P.M.-8:00P.M. - Entertainment Tonight WNBC-TV, Channel 4 (NBC): 7:00A.M.-11:00A.M. - Today 11:00A.M.-12:00P.M. - Access Hollywood Live 12:00P.M.-12:30P.M. - News 4 New York at Noon 12:30P.M.-1:00P.M. - We the People with Gloria Allred 1:00P.M.-2:00P.M. - DOOL 2:00P.M.-3:00P.M. - The Nate Berkus Show 3:00P.M.-4:00P.M. - New York Live 4:00P.M.-5:00P.M. - The Ellen DeGeneres Show 5:00P.M.-6:00P.M. - News 4 New York at 5 6:00P.M.-6:30P.M. - News 4 New York at 6 6:30P.M.-7:00P.M. - NBC Nightly News 7:00P.M.-7:30P.M. - Extra 7:30P.M.-8:00P.M. - Access Hollywood WABC-TV, Channel 7 (ABC): 7:00A.M.-9:00A.M. - GMA 9:00A.M.-10:00A.M. - Live! with Kelly 10:00A.M.-11:00A.M. - Rachael Ray 11:00A.M.-12:00P.M. - The View 12:00P.M.-12:30P.M. - Eyewitness News at Noon 12:30P.M.-1:00P.M. - Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? 1:00P.M.-2:00P.M. - The Chew 2:00P.M.-3:00P.M. - The Revolution 3:00P.M.-4:00P.M. - GH 4:00P.M.-5:00P.M. - Eyewitness News First at Four 5:00P.M.-6:00P.M. - Eyewitness News at Five 6:00P.M.-6:30P.M. - Eyewitness News at Six 6:30P.M.-7:00P.M. - ABC World News 7:00P.M.-7:30P.M. - Jeopardy! 7:30P.M.-8:00P.M. - Wheel of Fortune As you can see, no network daytime programs currently air at an incorrect time. However, during the 2007-08 season, WNBC actually showed DOOL at 2:00P.M. Much more unforgiveable, however, was that WCBS long aired GL at 10:00A.M.; I believe that station started doing so way back in September 1993. (Given how many CBS stations aired GL in the morning, I am surprised that soap's ratings weren't far worse than they were.)
Members ~bl~
Guiding Light started in the mornings on WCBS in September 1995.
Members Max
I appreciate the correction. Was WCBS the first station to air GL in the morning? I know a whole huge load of additional stations begain airing GL in the morning following the debut of Dr. Phil (which seems to air mostly on CBS stations) in September 2002. Not surprisingly, that soap experienced a big ratings fall over the next twelve months.
Members Cheap21
GL at that time was great. It didnt compete with any other soap and it was a perfect time slot
Members ~bl~
WCBS and the O&O CBS stations moved GL from the afternoon to air a short lived program called Day & Date in 1995, which was a live news/current events program. I'd have to check 90s soap opera publications to see exactly which areas had this issue.

Members Max
I remember Day & Date. When I came home from school, I watched that show to get the latest news about O.J. This is fascinating. Does the same thing air every Monday (and every Tuesday, etc.)? Or, is there absolutely no logical pattern to what airs? (For instance, do they use that time to air infomercials?)

Members Ryan Chamberlain
When analog TV was still around I could pick up WAVE3 and WLKY32 with my antenna. But, since the DTV switchover. Nope. I liked WLKY much better than WKYT. WKYT sucks and has always sucked.
