GH: Jen Lilley Tweets Re: Maxie & Kirsten Storms

  • Member

Tweet from Jen Lilly:

I had to get twitlonger to answer properly :) First, I, Jen Lilley, LOVE Kirsten Storms. I think she's talented, funny, beautiful, and kind. While I have loved my time on GH, I think it's under the saddest of conditions that I'm there.

Because of unforeseen circumstances, I am staying as Maxie. Please know that as a KS fan, I am really sorry. Kirsten is irreplaceable. To keep GH alive, someone had to step into the role. I cannot change what's happened. Yes, I love being on the show, but if KS could have stayed all along, I would have wished a thousand wishes that I could have come on as a different character, for her sake and your sake as a GH fan. Change is never easy.

I hope you will find it in your hearts to stop being so hateful toward me personally, because honestly, after 6 months of it, I feel broken, and it's not helping the show. We have to stand united for the sake of General Hospital's livelihood and for soap fans everywhere. I think all of Kirsten's wonderful fans know that she'd want her fans to support GH and fight like hell for it's renewal. With utmost sincerity: Jen Lilley

That's what they said on Dirty Soap but... I also heard recovery time from that is a few weeks -- not six plus months.

coming from someone who has Endometriosis I have always found that Dirty Soap suspect revelation suspect and find the hiding insulting

To be fair my cousin had it until she finally had a hysterectomy. But she had pain for nearly 18 months before that. Everyone's case is different

Okay, well... something must've happened between January 9 and now, because in January, Storms was all over twitter announcing her big come back at the end of the month -- and here we are in mid-February and Lilley's keeping the role. I'm confused as hell.

Like I was getting at with my last post, as with my cousin her illness could have acted up. KS Had three surgeries to help this in the last six months so I bet its all part of it. Its a setback

Jen is a class act. I say this as a Kirsten stan.

There is no need to pit them against each other or compare them. Jen stepped in between a rock and a hard place and carried herself with class and showed nothing b ut respect for Kirsten, the show, and the fans. Kirsten has commented on how much she likes Jen.

This is all ridiculous.

I hate how rabid fans could be. It reminds me of after BB13 when crazy Jeff fans were trying to get Shelly fired and trying to get child protective services to take Shelly's kid away.
