Nikki losing Jack's baby on Y&R pissed me off. Such opportunity for drama lost.

Twice.

Keep in mind what Cady McClain said in that interview a few months ago about some higher ups at P&G who were supposedly so ultra-conservative to the point where they forced ATWT's gay stories to be completely neutered "if they had to do one at all". I'm sure Janet being seen as a heroine was another such mandate from above, and likely why Jean Passanante keeps getting work: She gladly does whatever the suits tell her to without a hint of objection.

Oh, I'm quite sure Janet's pro-life stance was to placate "the suits". I just blame Pissy (or Goutman or whoever) for wrapping it all up in a pretty little bow. If you want to write that story, find a way to make it matter.

Ashley having a miscarriage on Y&R, then Adam convincing her she was still pregnant and stealing Sharon's baby. Just a terrible, terrible story. And now they're pretty much trying not to have Ashley share scenes with Adam so the viewers could forget what he did. Ugh.
