You still hear "More More More" today. I have heard it in commercials just a few days ago.

That song has one of the best hooks ever.

I love the story behind the making of that song. She had money which was going to be worthless if it left the islands she had banked it at, so she decided to go make a record.

Only in the 70's could a porn actress go on to become a mainstream music artist, and create such an iconic record.

Loved her back in the day. I liked a few of her other songs much better than More, More, More. May she rest in peace.

I love that song, and your'e right... one of the best hooks ever. She said she intended to re-record the vocals, but the record company had went ahead and released it without her knowledge, with the rehearsal vocal intact, "Much to my HORROR" as she stated. But she had a hit, so she didn't look a gift horse in the mouth.

I don't know a lot about her career so if you can tell us more about her other songs that would be wonderful.

IDK, I think a porn star could go ahead and make it in the mainstream today

The thing I love about Andrea is that she didn't try to shun her history in adult movies. I remember reading once that she simply wanted to be remembered "for making people happy," regardless of whether it was for the song or for her other...talents.

They could, possibly, but it would be in a very different, objectified way. They'd be leered at the whole time. It's amazing to me how Andrea True, Marilyn Chambers, to a lesser degree Dennis Parker, were able to blur the lines.

Well, that's the whole Paris Hilton/Kim Kardashian story but they only needed to make 1 porn to make it.

R.I.P.

Despite its long-term popularity, "More, More, More" only reached #4 in 1976. Andrea's only other Top 40 hit--which MontyB posted--was 1977's "N.Y., You Got Me Dancing," which peaked at #27.
