How I meet your mother(4.9) and Two and a Half Men beat DWTS in 18-49 category. DWTS was down from last season's premiere. Two and a Half Men scored a 10.3 in 18-49 rating, 27.8 million viewers for the season opener with a 16.2/23 HH number. Broke Girls had a 7.0 in the 18-49 category.

I hope this might mean the media will stop obsessing over Charlie Sheen.

Of course the ratings will go down, but then I don't watch the show anyway - I'm mostly just interested in seeing the media stop turning mental illness and ugly behavior into ha ha time.

I thought the premiere was good but totally different show with Sheen out. I saw Broke Girls too and thought it was pretty bad..not a very good show. I'm sure BG will lose numbers when they move to it's original time slot at 8:30 eastern time behind HIMYM. I was very surprised at the high demos for How I Meet Your Mother. I prefer MIke and Molly over BG at 9:30 timeslot.

I'm kind of disgusted by this. Never saw the appeal of the show before and I doubt I would with Ashton in there instead.

Im not disgusted by the this but I do not understand what people here like about the show. I saw it last night and seemed horrible.

I wonder how the ratings will be next week. I know they cant maintain those numbers. But it should be interesting.

2.5 Men's number exceeded my predictions - I thought the premiere would get around 20 million viewers. I think next week it will drop to about 18 million and then 13-14 million in week 3 and then average 11-12 million for the season.
