Members alexisfan07
Matthew's up and speaking! Oh wait... It's a real shame that they've all but fired Eddie Alderson
Members Khan
The way Destiny put her hand to her mouth, I couldn't tell if she was shocked that Shane would attempt suicide, or embarrassed that she had enchiladas for lunch. What do you expect? You don't kill Kelly Nelson and get away with it.
Members Khan
I still don't know why Blair is stretched out on that piano. Is she a cabaret singer? Is she paying homage to Michelle Pfeiffer on "The Fabulous Baker Boys"? And Bo's bumper is just embarrassing as hell.
Members Khan
Oops. Tea just said Todd is the type who "shoots first, asks questions later." Hope that isn't foreshadowing.
Members alexisfan07
I feel like this episode is kind of a strange one to re-air unless they're going to deal with Eddie's murder again soon. I thought it was the one where they had to get Shane to stop from jumping, not the aftermath of it.
Members Khan
Eddie Ford isn't dead. He's still alive...and Irene Manning is responsible.
Members Khan
Destiny: Oh, Shaun, I'm so glad you're here! Shaun: What's wrong? Destiny: Part of my tracks fell out on the way over! Shaun: Baby, no?!
Members Khan
I refuse to pity Blair for hitting Jack. I don't think she hit him hard enough. She should've laid his ass out.
Members SFK
Uh, NO Blair. Putting your little [!@#$%^&*]'s ass in check does not make you a bully, it makes you a responsible parent.
Members Khan
"Oh, Nora...." It's moments like those (at the end) that make me think there's still hope for this genre. Great job, HBS!
Members TeamEric
I had forgotten how good AW was in the bullying stuff. Darned shame it was dropped for Ghost Gigi crap. Blair, dear, your son does NOT need anymore violence in his life. Time to re-take your anger management classes b/c you fail as a parent when you can't even control your own worst impulses. Tea and Viki, ah I so miss their scenes together.
Members DRW50
The show spent the last few years saying Todd's violence to women was fun and cool and no big deal to Jack and he never seemed phased by the various assaults on Blair in the last few years, including her almost being stabbed to death, so I can only come to the conclusion that the show sees any violence in Jack's life as perfectly fine. The bullying story quickly gave way to a pity party for Jack anyway.
Members Khan
Some pity party. The story came and went and I still don't know why Jack ever bothered with Shane. Bullies have to have a reason for their bullying, I think. Even Todd raping Marty was motivated by something deeper.
Members DRW50
I think the idea was to imply that Shane was just weak and Jack was cool and dangerous (and the one we're truly supposed to sympathize with), like Todd. Remember the Matthew bullying story - they used that to help turn Matthew into a nasty character. I think on some level we may be expected to side with the bullies in these stories.
