I would much rather hear Rod's pop hits than a bunch of standards. We already had 50s night. If any rock singer ever covered a standard, Chris will do that version. If any country singer ever did a countrified standard version, Pickler will do it. I'd rather see Disco night or something that forces them to sing a certain style.

If they did Rod's pop hits I can see:

Chris---Hot Legs

Kellie---First Cut is The Deepest (Rod sang it first before Sheryl Crow, and it's something she can do, hick-style)

Katharine---Rhythm of My Heart or Forever Young

Paris---Young Turks or You Wear It Well

Ace---D'Ya Think I'm Sexy or Tonight's The Night

Pissed that Bucky was voted off, his performance this week was actually his best IMHO. Kellie and Taylor deserved to be in the final 3 and one of these poor fools should have been sent home. Loved Simon's comments about Taylor and asking him if he were drunk. Me and my mother were saying the exact things Simon said about Taylor. We were ROTFLOAO when he said so as well LOL. They both get on my nerves. If these 2 idiots are the top 2, I'll refuse to watch the IDOL finale this year just like I did last year after accidentally finding out Bo didn't win at work ( I had taped it, but when I got home I erased it since I was so pissed that Carrie Underwood won instead of Bo, even though I do like Carrie now).

People need to remember that the majority of songs sung by the AI winner will be played on radio... Hence, Ace won't sell any records because he can't sing. You can't watch his face or bod over the air waves. He needs to be the next to go. JMO.

Thank God!! Apparently, the Idols have to sing the original arrangements of the songs... meaning no covers, not country twang, no rocking out. Strings will also be brought in specifically for that reason.

That makes Tuesday's show less cringe-worthy, now no one will be able to tear up a song so that its unrecognizable. They'll only be able to butcher the song with just their voices.

For me, I'm guess Katherine. She isn't the strongest Idol ever, but one of my favorites from the beginning since all my other ones didn't even make the 12 <_< My #2 would probably be Elliot. Taylor's act got old fast, I'd like Chris more if he hadn't been pimped from the beginning, and now I think he's overrated. Kellie  and Paris is just there.

And I definitely enjoyed Melissa O'Neil's debut album. I loved her debut single "Alive" I couldn't stop listening to it

    • I wouldn't call Tomas' cuts a modern cut. They appear to be a slim/extreme slim cut⏤cut slimmer down the sides, with a higher armhole, which pulls up/out, depending on the fit of the person's body. Again, I feel like Ms Featherstone is buying to fit the wrong parts of the body; instead of buying to fit their widest parts (shoulders), she's buying things to fit their middle/waist (which is the easiest to ultimately fix without a complete re-cut), and it shows in the finished product. And the only reason it irks me is because I worked in suit sales for nearly ten years, and I notice these things immediately. The fashion(s) on this soap are miles ahead of three of the four others (I like the fashions from Y&R), but the tailoring is a choice, especially where the men are concerned.
    • There probably would have been a good chance they knew of him, especially with his ties to Spaulding and his being involved in so much scandal (meaning there would be plenty of photos and articles around they both would have seen), but I agree the mask was silly, clearly just a TV moment.

    • I think all the suits are fit too tight, except for Jon Lindstrom's. DC lawyers/doctors are not all LA fashion elites. Yes, maybe Tomas would have a more modern cut to his suit, but an established guy like Bill wouldn't go around looking like that lonely button on his jacket was ready to explode constantly.
    • I do think there's room for optimism, especially with Amazon making enough new episodes to last until December. There's still time for the various players to get their ducks in a row. Guess we'll know soon enough!
    • I do agree it's better to just have people pop back into town. I never understood why Roger needed a mask on an island, when neither Fletcher or Alex would've known who he was. And the vine...sigh. Couldn't he have just been sent crashing through a window or something?
    • When the announcement was first made, I did wonder if other plans were in the works. I guess we can always keep hoping, especially as the show has a small core cast.
    • @chrismlAbout Lisa, agree to disagree. Actually at the time she was the only thing my partner & I disagreed about. Naturally she was Team Vicky while I was steadfast as Team Lisa.  About John & twin paternity, I think that like the 3 pillows was a transitory idea someone had that no one else agreed with. More of the attempt to accommodate Philece. About MJ, co-sign, 100% agree, if there were more degrees I would claim them. About Wally & Felicia, always a fan. Mitch? Eh, take or leave. Although I do agree that WGE is a really striking man. Who have I left out? I don't know so that's all I got.
    • RIP Wayne Lewis.

    • Dallas peaked early, IMO. Maybe not a fair statement as I’m still making my way through the first half of its run, but I think it’s hard to argue to point that S3 into S4 was its high point. Back to Knots. Wrapping up “And Never Brought to Mind.” Greg’s introduction kinda took me by surprise. I low-key dreaded his arrival bc I know he very quickly gets to the center of the show, but even though they wasted no time connecting him with Mac, Abby, Gary, and Karen, it still feels like a gradual intro. The juxtaposition of the ending of the Chip story with the heating up Abby’s plotting is quite symbolic of the changes the show was going through. I absolutely cannot imagine Kenny and Ginger having any part in any of this. Yall, the Gary/Val piano theme that they pull out from time to time is my FAVORITE. I find myself humming it constantly.
