Breaking down the 2011 DT Emmy Nominations

Wanted to make this thread to showcase, and also try to figure out, what episodes the actors/shows submitted.

Miss Nelly from TVGC got a hold of all the Emmy reels but only posted the ones from his personal pics on who he guessed would be nominated...so from that, I'll post the dates of all the people/shows so far listed that have actually been nominated. Then anyone whose missing, we'll just have to find out what they submitted somehow...also another note, he didn't post any guesses for younger Actor/Actress.

ROTFL. Yeah I bet that's probably EXACTLY what she submitted

I still can't believe she was nominated over Kim Matula, Molly Burnett, Shelley Hennig... angry.gif

and Jacqueline M Woods from B&B. I thought she'd have gotten a nom to. I wonder why there are only 3 in this category this year instead of 5 like the rest. What a mess. I actually think she could win bc her chances are higher and the Emmys can suck when it comes to voting.

And how the hell did she get nominated for her story and not Jacob Young? He and MCE were the stars of that triangle and she just hung around like a nasty booger we couldnt get rid of till the very end

If Allen submitted the 11/23 episode I do understand her slipping into the category.

Michael Park's reel is from January 21 according to goldderby.

I think Lexie Ainsworth from GH can & will take it home...

I can't believe JY wasn't nominated, he submitted scenes from February back when JR had cancer. Whatever it was I know it was amazing...he deserves it more than Jason Thompson from GH. Though, I guess it doesn't really matter that much since Jonathan Jackson is taking it home anyways! ;-P

11/23, must've been the scenes where she confronted David. I remember her being quite good in them, so I guess it makes sense....but still, overall...rolleyes.gifangry.gif lol

Thanks. I'll add that date for Michael Park

I'm curious of what MCE submitted from AMC. She had like a boat load to choose from!!

Overall, I agree - but the Daytime Emmy's just use that one episode. Yes, 11/23 was Marissa confronting David in court and Allen really owned her scenes opposite Irizarry. It feels like they told her to tape that the day after she was fired and due to that she jumped into that with some fire.

I agree on Jacob. He submitted the episode where JR found out Miguel wasn't coming to donate the bone marrow - and he ended up flat-lining at the end of the episode.

Allmy, where did you find the info on Minshew's reel?

Melissa C. Egan submitted the 10/8/10 episode.

LOL ok that was basically just a guess that I'm pretty sure about. That was her best episode last year, I can't possibly think of anything else she could've submitted...except maybe the following episode where she ripped into David in the courtroom. But 11/22/10 just seemed obvious...ETA; will keep an eye to to see what it is for sure ;-P

I only asked because I had been trying to track down the reels too and that's one I couldn't pin down anywhere. Although my personal preference for her would have been the beach episode, I do think 11/22 is most likely the tape she submitted.

I'll never forget that scene she had with Greenlee in the cave during that beach episode...I agree that would be a great choice for her as well.
