Members DRW50
Paraphrasing. ATWT, Steve and Betsy: Doug Marland says Steve is still in a Greek prison for drug smuggling, and Betsy is living alone with daughter Dani in Wisconsin, running a construction firm. GH, Heather and Blackie: Former headwriter Gene Palumbo says that Heather was the administrator of Pine Circles Sanatorium, as she learned from her time in PC that lunatics can run the asylum. Blackie, who was in prison for the murder of Louisa Swenson (which he didn't commit), is still in prison, up for his thirty-eighth parole hearing, and if he gets out he will likely be a serial killer. AMC, Greg and Liza: Agnes Nixon says Greg went to Hong Kong to marry Suzy Wong, and works in the manufacturing business. If you see a label that says Made in Hong Kong, it was made by Greg. Liza went to work at a TV station in Baltimore, married a news anchor, and moved to Santa Barbara. GL, Kyle and Reva: Larkin Malloy says that Kyle is making big money in Oklahoma, and riding horses, and sometimes, looking into the horizon and thinking not of Monticello, or Pine Valley, but Springfield, and his time with Reva when they were at the Amish place. Kim Zimmer says Reva could have washed up anywhere, with amnesia; she could be drinking pina coladas like Kathleen Turner in Body Heat. DAYS, Anna, Chris, Don: Al Rabin says Anna lives in LA, channeling the spirit of Ludmilla, a 400 year old midwife from Bulgaria. Chris gave up his engineering degree, and is a yak farmer in Peru. Don Craig, after losing his twentieth case in a row, became a lambada instructor at Grossinger's in the Catskills. Y&R, Julia: Meg Bennett says that Julia is in Paris, a very successful fashion designer, raising a daughter who may or may not be Victor's, and, considering how Victoria was aged, might be quite old. OLTL, David and Jenny. Associate head writer Craig Carlson says David and Jenny are free to go where they want, but David lives in Prague, playing for President Vaclav Havel, and is part of the Velvet Revolution. Jenny has a cooking show on Czechoslovakian TV. AW, Sandy and Blaine. AW says that they live on a ranch outside San Francisco. Blaine runs the annual rodeo, and Sandy has a local talk show, becoming the Donahue of SF. Lorna, Loving. Millee Taggart, headwriter, says Lorna grew tired of her 'older man' husband and got involved with Doogie Howser, M.D. Knots Landing, Diana: KL writers say that Diana is still in New York, working in fashion, and she calls home every week. She just happens to call home on Wednesday, the day before Knots airs.
Members Soaplovers
I remember that article... it seems like part of it was truth and some of it was sarcastic! Though I figured Douglas marland was being serious since a good writer is always mapping out where characters are off-screen in case they would ever return. Members Dr Neil Curtis
Agreed! I think His and Agnes were the most sane ones, that made sense.
Members AMCHistory
I know Enid mentioned Greg was in Hong Kong as a businessman in 1995. When he came back in 08 for the Hubbard wedding, he was a teacher in Seattle. I would love to see another Greg cameo. That character has a lot of potential. No only does he have a often mentioned never seen sister, but he could easily have kids we never saw before. Also, I would love Liza to have another love interest.
