T Jones was the name of the character.
She came in when Tom and Margo's son Casey was kidnapped by the woman that was grieving the death of her son (who was in a grief support group with Nancy) while she became friendly with Margo and clashed with Hal during the investigation. After the investigation was over.. she stayed in town because she also was assigned to investigate the criminal (Umberto.. I think) that caused the plane crash that 'killed' Damian, blinded Sam, and caused Margo extreme PTSD... and during this period, she dates Mark. I believe she ended up being killed by Umberto and it turned out that the T in her name stood for Te Amo.. and she reveals it on her death bed to Mark (shortly after they married).
