Summary of synopsis in March 16th 1882 issue

Audrey tells Anne that Jeff has remarried.In response she starts drinking and dresses punk for Dr Bradshaws party,despite Noah's pleas.At the party she accuses bradshaw of causing a patients death through wrongly advising surgery.Jessie and audrey try to talk to her but Anne is unwavering,even when Noah says he would have done the same.noah convinces Bradshaw to accept Anne's aplogy posted on the bulletin board. In return he wants her to stay away.

Emma and Tiffany dress as hookers to form a distraction while Slick steals the booze.Luke and Scorpio load it into Slick's cab and transfer it to the yacht.Mouse and his henchman turn up demanding the booze back.A man appears with a gun and orders them to back off.The man,Kurt Maxwell tells Scorpio he was once an undercover agent and knew O'Riley,who told hom to come to Scorpio if he ever needed help.Scorpio agrees to hide him,without Luke knowing.But Luke discovers him and doesn't buy his story-Luke suspects he may be sent by Helena.

Mouse does find the booze and Luke and Robert admit to taking it,only to show that they won't be intimidated.As the booze is stolen,Mouse cannot report them to the cops and is stymied.

Lila asks Robert to find the mystery woman's son,Eric.

Joe is furious with Heather for giving out his name to accident victims in emergency-it's illegal.

Scotty delivers the liquor license to the yacht and comes across Laura's nightgown and rips it to shreds.He then discovers Kurt chanting a curse on Luke and Laura from Helena. Scotty tells him they're on the same side and asks Kurt to keep in touch.A livid Luke discovers the ripped gown and confronts Scott,who denies all.

Laura wraps a shoot for Miss Star Eyes and gets a message from Luke to meet her at a restaurant. As she leaves,she crosses paths with a young woman who looks like her. Mel addresses her as Laura and gives her an address in Port Charles. David,the man with the ring,watches and is clearly baffled.

Laura arrives and comes face to face with Scotty.who asks for another chance and gives her a copy of the worthless divorce decree. Laura agrees to fly back to PC with him.David and Laura 2 are on that flight.

Luke surprises a chanting Kurt and they scuffle.The model boat Kurt is holding smashes and Luke spots his diamond stickpin.Kurt escapes and Like confronts Scotty who admits Kurt was there but he doesn't know where to find him.

Laura insists to Scott she'll return to the yacht alone and is creeped out to find the shredded gown.She calls Lesley,but gets no answer.In the fog,David appears holding up the ring. Laura makes a run for it.

Luke misses Laura at the airport and returns to the dock.He sees a blonde woman and calls out for Laura. Laura 2 runs off,leaving Luke puzzled.Laura 2 leaves a message for her sister Jackie,saying someone tried to kill her.Jackie heads to Port Charles.

Laura has vanished and Like is frantic. When he finds out Scotty was in NY at the same time.he confronts Baldwin who says the last he saw of Laura was her getting into a cab,heading for home.

David tells Mel their plan is underaway.Laura T comes out when David leaves and is sure they are mixed up in something dangerous.Mel tells Laura she should not have contacted Jackie.So Laura calls Jackie and tries to convince her she's fine.She agrees to meet ,but Jackie waits in vain as Laura comes face to face with David and runs off.

Robert remembers Laura talking about a man with a ring who frightened her and he and Tiffany discover a D Grey was on her flight from New York.

A hit and run victim is admitted to GH.She resembles Laura and Luke rushes to find out if it is his wife. That brings him into contact with Jackie,who is looking for her sister.As she is bandaged they have to wait to identify her,but it is a third Laura!

Jackie wants to team up with Luke, but he's reluctant. Robert,however works with Jackie and they discover that both Lauras and D Grey were all on the same flight.

Scotty admits to Luke that he tracked down Laura in NY and caught Kurt putting a curse in Helena's name.Scotty remembers Laura saying Mel was coming to PC.Luke decides to go to NY with Delphina and try to find Mel.

David uncovers Laura T hiding at Mel's and says he's been aware of her for some time.He knows Laura has been informed of the purpose of their visit and Mel assures she'll keep the secret.

Rick and Lesley head up a group trying to clean up the sport center. Blackie,a tough teenage hood is resentful.Later,he and his pals break into kelly's and trash the place.

Joe is tries to deal with Heather,backing away from making love. Heather says the next move is his and she'll be waiting,Joe relents and they make love.

Luke tells robert,Mel seems to be in Pt Charles.They break into his apartment. At Mel's loft.Laura expects Mel but opens the door to David who puts her in a trance,saying only the words Star Sapphire will unlock her memories of their project.When he leaves.Laura breaks out of the trance.

A beaten Blackie staggers into the clinic and tells Rick his pal Durnley was responsible.Rick tells Blackie his only connection to that man is a business arrangement. rRck tells Durnley he doesn't want to hear of any more kids being beat up or there will be trouble.

When Mel returns he asks Laura if David came by.Mel knows something is up when Laura denies all knowledge of David and the project. Outside David is listening.

I guess you can tell the show was in transition at this time. Any time you hear, "_____ dress like hookers," you have to wonder.

I didn't know that Laura Spencer and Janine Turner's Laura ever met.

Is the stuff with Anne dressing "punk" on Youtube? If they'd made her a bitch from the start I wonder if she would have been more popular.

If the synopsis was anything to go by,the Laura/Mel/David story was doomed from the start.It didn't seem to make a lot of sense.Everything else seemed to be filler.GH hade so much they could have used rather than Luke/Scorpio 5 days a week and everything else filling in the gaps.

Who were the writers at that time?

It would be either Robert J. Shaw or Joyce and John Corrington.

What never made sense to me is why you would bring in another young woman with blonde hair and also named Laura. It's asking for failure.

Luke and Scorpio to my knowledge were never on five days a week unless it was the culmination of the big story. GH, as I recall it, followed a fairly formulaic M/W/F schedule for Luke and company, and Tu/Th is when you would follow the stories of Heather Webber, Rick Webber and so on. There would be some crossing over (like say Monica on M/T/Fri) but back when GH was good there were no airhogs like soaps have now
