She decided to leave in 2006, just as she decided to abruptly leave in November 1995. I don't think things got intense behind the scenes until there was rumblings that she was going to join another soap (B&B?) while still technically under contract with DAYS. Honestly, it seemes that Corday was understanding and OK with her bolting because of her affair, and the law suit came about when the gossip about her joining B&B came about.
