Liked him in Murder One. Which is why I dread to think what nasty-edged shmaltz Guza is going to give him.

I love shmaltz, what is a soap opera if not shmaltz in every conceivable flavor?

well, you don't hire a goy to do a yiddeshe kop's job! :P

I don't mind schmaltz. I'm just thinking back to Michael Learned's character who was always yapping on about her jewellery and giving out "advice" whether people asked for it or not. This is, of course, quite apart from the cancer her character suffered which resonates with pretty much everybody watching. I'm talking about the character who was an annoyance. An annoyance because she was laddling out words of wisdom like "smile and the world smiles with you." Well, not in Port Charles. Smile and a mobster will fire his bullet of love into your brain. Plus Guza usually tops the schmaltz off with a cruel death anyway. ML's character was lucky she didn't end up strangled, suffocated (like AJ) or alone and calling for his son (like Alan).
