Days will continue to fall in ratings then soap digest will bring out the plan to save days which will feature deidri hall and drake on the cover. and a "bring them back headline" while ken corday continues to push Melanie and the Hernedez family down our throats...oh and bring back Vivian Alamain only to ruin her and stick her in a corner and play up Victor and Maggie all of a sudden out of no where...hello why not Caroline like we all wanted from the 80s lol...

What happen with ATWT getting a 1.8-1.9. OLTL is still getting a 1.7 it could of went up last week though. I hope ATWT went up

As expected DAYS hit new lows in demos. Congrats Higley/Whitesell/Tomlin! Way to drop the ball by making the show so boring. 2010 has been awful.

Damn. New lows in the demos? I hope the Alice stuff coming up in June will help them out.

The Alice stuff won't do much of anything because most of the show's audience now doesn't have the attachment to Alice like it would've a few years ago. Also, you don't see tributes and funerals impact the ratings much. Sometimes they even go down. Not to mention, it's summer now. Ratings for primetime and daytime have struggled through the whole spring so I highly doubt they will show any significant growth until summer is over and things settle in September.

Days is following the same pattern it did last year. The only issue is that the draggy/lull period hit the past 8 weeks or so when last year it hit in the summer when Days always seems to crash in recent years anyway. The show threw everything out there from September-February and rushed some things and now we are seeing the result with them having to build several stories at the same time.

The audience is still there or else the season to date averages would start showing decreases. The problem is they aren't watching live or same day. They are watching later. That seems to be the case with all the soaps. Like many primetime shows, soaps seemed to drop around the same time they did in March and it seems like many people are just watching their shows later on DVR instead of rushing home and watching them. That is a problem that could develop into a horrible trend for soaps where they end up losing the fans that watch later as well. If fans aren't rushing to watch a show and are basically watching out of habit, there is a problem.

Days will be fine. They will probably build everything up and go all out from September-February like they did last year. I think that is what they are building toward. I just wish they could bring it year round. With the exception of summer last year, the show did a much better job of maintaining interest last year all the way into February. Since then, it's been all over the place. Thankfully, it's starting to show promise this week and in upcoming spoilers. .

Alice's funeral may give it a boost for a week or two, but don't expect the viewers who will be returning to watch that, stick around. The show is awful these days and its low ratings are well deserved.

No surprise here. The Calliope/Anna show was beyond awfull, eating the airtime and completely pointless. It´s funny how last year the EJami fans made fun from Safe and the not so great ratings during the focus on Rafe and his past, but the focus on EJami and them growing closer again is nothing but disaster so far. And yes, I know there other stories as well, but the EJami is clearly the leading one now and it gives the show one low after another. Maybe their time is really gone.

Bringing back John and Marlena is the ONLY thing that would bring me back to the show LOL! But the real problem is the horrible writing and the influx of so many characters with no purpose. At least J&M are connected to most of the main players.

I'm not convinced Jarlena could do any worse damage. I think one of the issues is that the show feels like a different show. All we have now are newbies and people carrying the show, who by all intents and purposes, shouldn't. I love Sami/EJ, I like Melanie, but they can't carry the show neither can these newbies. I just don't care to see them *all the time*, with little to no pacing or payoff.
