May 20, 201015 yr Member My choices are simple, they're the same shows I currently watch: NCIS THE MENTALIST (although I'm a bit on the bubble with this one--they rely too much on Simon Baker's charm and it's wearing off with me) AMAZING RACE UNDERCOVER BOSS I couldn't watch more than the first 3 or 4 NCIS:LA. I wanted to like it because I love the original. But I just don't. Watched all of the CSIs for a few years but also stopped those a long time ago. The thrill is long gone. Too bad about Cold Case. A bit surprised they cancelled Ghost Whisperer before Medium. I watched Medium for a season or two but it eventually just bored me too much. GW jumped half the shark when they killed off Jim and brought him back as Sam. They jumped the other half when they ff-ed 5 years and had that annoying kid. Jamie Kennedy and Margaret Cho (who picks these people)? And with Jim's memory restored, David Conrad is stuck at the back of the Scooby Gang again. Edited May 20, 201015 yr by applcin
May 21, 201015 yr Member And with Jim's memory restored, David Conrad is stuck at the back of the Scooby Gang again. Ironically, DC supposedly campaigned for years to be on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" as Buffy's nemesis. Yeah, as much as I enjoyed the arc, bringing back Jim as Sam proved to be a huge waste of time in the end. The show's producers were better off leaving Jim dead and allowing Melinda to grieve and move on.
May 21, 201015 yr Member I didn't want DC to leave Ghost Whisperer so I kept an open mind and watched the Jim/Sam stuff play out. It obviously pleased DC to be more in the thick of the action. But I think the more they expanded the Scooby Gang and kept adding people who knew Melinda's "secret" and who actually helped her out--Eli, Delia and her son, Cho's character, the professor guy that's on Gary Unmarried now (I forgot his name)--the more peripheral Jim became. I think that was a mistake because I think the Jim/Melinda marriage is/was an aspect of the show a lot of fans really liked. Edited May 21, 201015 yr by applcin
May 21, 201015 yr Member Frankly, the producers of "Ghost Whisperer" should be censured for wasting David Conrad's talents like they did. The guy has serious leading man qualities; I've felt that way ever since "Relativity" (remember that show?). Hopefully, someone will recognize that, and give DC a strong role in a great pilot next season.
May 21, 201015 yr Member I HATED that they killed off Jim and then to bring him back as someone else, I didn't like either. I know alot of people were upset by him being killed off. I agree, DC has leading man qualities, I hope he gets on a new show I don't like Jamie Kennedy's character, I liked Jay Mohr's character better I think TBBT will do great on Thursday's, it might even grow more viewers Edited May 21, 201015 yr by Zendall Fan
