Does Sam Ford Still Write About Soaps on Some Blog?

He used to write for MIT's blog and covered often soaps and ATWT especially, and his book will be published soon if it hasn't been published already, but I can't find anything more recent.

Does anyone know?

Apparently, not.

Pepper Digital in its TV section has nothing newer. Last article is from somewhere in 2009.

Hey Sylph,

Great to hear from you...I haven't written on soaps anywhere in particular of late, but I've had a few guest posts here and there:

My attention's been focused on the book, which is due to come out later this year from the University Press of Mississippi. It's in copy editing at the moment, and we are making a few tweaks here and there to acknowledge some of the latest developments. I actually write this from Los Angeles, where I'm at the SCMS conference. Tomorrow, I'm presenting with the two book co-editors and Tristan Rogers on the book project. Sara Bibel is planning to come and cover, last I heard, if you follow her blog.

Then, we'll be in St. Louis in a couple of weeks for the PCA, where more than a dozen of the book's contributors (all of us editors, Kay Alden, Tom Casiello, Lynn Liccardo, Mary Jeanne Wilson, Melissa Scardaville, Ernest Alba, Bernard Timberg, Barbara Irwin, Mary Cassata, and others...) will be participating in a series of panels together.

In any case, appreciate that you're still interested in my work, and I'm definitely still following the soaps world closely.

What's the book?

*edit*

Nevermind, found it--it's the one our Edge of Night fan was involved in. Can't wait to read it.
