Happy New Year, everyone. Here's to hoping we have some positive changes behind the scenes. My list is as follows:

AMC:

Lorraine Broderick made full-time HW

The breakdown writing position is reinstated

Frederick Johnson back as Associate Head Writer

Jeff Beldner back as Associate Head Writer

Michelle Patrick as Script Editor

Christopher Dunn last listed as Associate Head writer...

Tracey Thomson last listed as Associate Head writer (She's a decent scriptwriter, so I'd be fine with a demotion)

Rebecca Taylor last listed as Script Writer...

Mike Cohen first listed as Script Writer...

DOOL:

Sofia Landon Grier back as Script Writer...

Y&R:

To be brief, a complete overhaul is needed. Maria and her minions have done enough damage.

Yup, it's Carolyn. You're 2 for 2. LOL

Sofia. :( I love her too. Don't think she's a FOG though.

I reason I chose Ludel is because I don't think he's a "true" FOJ like Scott McKinsey (GL), Phideaux Xavier (GL), and Owen Renfore (OLTL). Maybe Ludel's very close to JHC and maybe he wants a new challenge, directing in a new studio.

I never understood what exactly the relationship was/is with Scott McKinsey and JFP. Remember - after Wendy Riche left and JFP came in, he abruptly left GH and moved back to NY and joined ATWT. Goutman fired him so he came back to LA and JHC hired him for PC, and then started directing at GH again, which I would never expect, given the history between JFP and his mother, LOL. And JFP isn't one to forget things like that. :) But he's solidly directing there under there for years, so I guess they do have a solid relationship.

I think JHC and McKinsey have a pretty strong relationship, too - she always recruited him to direct the "big" episodes of PC (like that episode that aired in OLTL's timeslot). But I have a feeling she stole one of the producers (like Barrow) or something.

Oh, I just remember Ludel's speech at the Emmy's a few years ago where he was kissing Jill's ass more than he needed to, and the camera panned to her in the audience getting up, jumping up and down, and clapping her ass off.

He's also GH's Lead Director right, so that's why he's always the one that gets announced as the person accepting for the directing team whenever GH wins?

Random: I heard that he very badly wanted to work himself up to the position of executive producer. I think he was a bit ticked when Jean Dadario Burke was sacked and they didn't promote him. Shortly after JHC came in he left his producer position and went back to full-time directing.

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
