Hey people

Just need a Days catchup because i have missed quite a lot.

I haven`t watched since august and just want to know what to know what is happening and what storylines are going on right now.

EJ had found out that Sydney was Mia's and Chad's son, not his. Nicole and Stefano did not want to tell him that he actually was the father, with Sami as the mother. He kicked Nicole out. She went to live with Sami, who had become her close friend and chief defender. Rafe, Sami's boyfriend, was suspicious about the baby switch, but was kidnapped by the crazy sister of his dead ex. He ended up bobbing around in the ocean until Carly Manning found him while escaping Alamainia. She brought him back to life.

When Rafe returned, he began putting the pieces together. Stefano tried to have him killed, but EJ, not knowing what was going on, saved him from the hit man. Soon after this, Rafe told Sami about everything with the baby switch and that Sydney was her biological baby. Sami didn't believe him at first but was soon overjoyed that Sydney was her child. Sami confronted Nicole, who was about to leave town, and got the baby back. Things seemed to be going back to normal, with Sami and EJ at loggerheads over what would happen with Sydney. But Brady got Nicole out of jail and Nicole ran off with Sydney. A few weeks later Nicole changed her mind, but she was knocked unconscious by an unseen hand, and the baby was taken again. Everyone is looking for Sydney, who is being kept by Anna Dimera.

Mia's relationship with Will had some rough times when her ex, and baby Sydney's father (or so everyone believed), Chad, came to town, demanding custody of his daughter. Nicole and Stefano got Mia to lie and say she'd slept with multiple men around the time she was with Chad, which disgusted both Chad and Will. They were devastated when they learned the recently deceased Grace, not Sydney, was their biological daughter. This has brought them somewhat closer. There's also a new teen, Rafe and Arianna's sister Gabi, who has joined the teen group.

After the kidnapping and ransom drama, Bo and Hope moved further and further apart, to the point where Hope moved into Victor's mansion. Her closest friend is Justin Kiriakis, who recently returned to town after almost 20 years, due to a separation from his wife, Adrienne.

Meanwhile, Carly, living in Alamainia with her husband Lawrence, fatally stabbed him when he threatened her. Lawrence had apparently become insane over the years, due to some illness. She fled in a boat and eventually ended up in Salem, revealing herself only to Bo. When Hope learned about Carly's return and the circumstances behind it, she was angry at Bo for endangering their family. Carly was arrested, and Bo blamed Hope, but soon learned Victor had called the cops after Hope had asked him about Carly and he realized Carly must me in Salem.

Carly was facing extradition to Alamania, but then someone else took the blame for the murder. Carly was shocked, but even more shocked to see Vivian, back in Salem after almost a decade. Vivian heard about the whole thing and decide to make Carly pay in her own personal way, not through the courts. Vivian is now living at the Kiriakis mansion and mixing it up with Victor again, as well as her "son" Phillip, and her old rival Kate.

Carly has a daughter in Salem. It's either Mia or Melanie. Vivian is planning to turn the daughter against Carly, as an act of revenge. Carly and Bo are getting closer and closer.

Kate escaped charges for poisoning Chloe by marrying Stefano. Chloe learned she is infertile. Chloe and Dan are still together.

Brady learned that Arianna was a drug dealer. He washed his hands of her until she told him she was doing this for the feds (Roman), to stay out of prison. He decided to help her, and was upset to learn his grandfather Victor was a drug kinkpin. A few weeks before all this Victor had sold the business to EJ, which means while Arianna is trying to land her dealer, she's also getting closer to EJ.

Melanie was dating Nathan Horton, but still had feelings for Phillip, who was actively pursuing her. Stephanie had feelings for Nathan. Melanie decided to break up with Nathan and got back together with Phillip.

I don't watch the Australian soaps very much. I mostly just watch clips of the UK ones, and read about them. The US ones I mostly watch or skim through, although I read about a few more than watch them.

Thank you for that recap! I just started watching days about a month ago, so I was still rather in the dark about the whole Sami/Nicole/EJ relationship, and the whole thing with Mia and Chad's baby. So thanks .

The rest I mostly knew from watching, except that Hope and Justin are best friends. I didn't know that. The recap was really amazing, I don't think you missed a thing!

Thanks for your nice comments. I missed a few bits but I'm glad I got most of it right. Sorry about saying Sydney was their son.
