It cracks me up to watch people freak out over Nelson's big "newbreaks" that he has. *eyeroll* When will they learn?? LOL!!!!

I do have to admit, though, Nelson has a point. I can see, if Goutman were to be fired now (instead of the other 30371252 times people have wanted him gone), Ellen Wheeler being a VERY likely candidate for replacing him. (Oh, and uh....news flash, Nelson: Goutman was EP when AW was canned...not Wheeler-- unless someone wants to correct me...)

And why the hell does this man have a job??? I recently graduated college with a degree in Mass Communications, and I'm pretty sure that journalists are supposed to have un-biased views. Report the facts, not your opinion; that's what we're taught. The fact that this man (and his many followers) considers himself a viable news reporter is laughable.

P.S.--I'm pretty sure that Crystal Hunt can act. (Unless her talent has dwindled since leaving GL...) And Austin Peck jokes are soooo 3 months ago!

She was also one of ATWT's strongest directors before she became EP of GL. Branco's such a putz. She'll be directing one episode a week, like every other director on staff, and she'll do just fine. She won't have story say, she won't be involved in everyday production. And she'll probably direct some pretty good episodes (or as good as ATWT can be right now). In fact, when GL went off, most of the post-ers here, as I recall, assumed Goutman would re-hire her as a director on ATWT. Once again, Branco's need for attention overshadowed the fact that this was a blip on the radar at best, and not at all "the big bad news" many were expecting.

Seriously, people need to stop paying so much attention to this man.

THAT's exactly it... When she was hired at GL man were even pleased because she did have a rep for being a GREAT soap director. And that's what she's returning to. (I was hoping for a cheezy Xmas scene oher on AMC as Cindy in a dream fScott's with Stuart in Heaven or something though )

If that's true about GL maybe being picked up by Lifetime it's kinda sad, though I have a feeling it wouldn't have prolonged life much.

WHA? So Nelson, in his usual humble way caims to always be on the cusp of "hot new music" and didn'tknow the All American Rejects?? Wasn't their breakout single Swing Swing like at least 6 years back if not more? If Nelson didn't throw in the aside about always being on the "cusp of hot new music" i'd let this slide--I like the band and am happy if beig on OLTL got them a fan. But come on--it's ot liek they were some tiny indie band Valentini discovered and promoted.

Nelson's in a word, an idiot and I swear he see more ridiculous with each new Soapgeist (and didn't he admit a while back he never ever wathed ANy Loving? now he's acting like he was a top fan?)

… and it’s ah-mazing! Did. Not. Disappoint. Congrats to everyone involved. The production, lighting, sound, acting and writing were all spectacular. Most importantly, I felt for the first time I was finally given a proper Otalia send-off through watching life and post-sex with Gina and Ani. Heaven has a cushy pad all reserved for Crystal Chappell! I’ll have a more in-depth review after a few more episodes air. Brava! P.S. How dreamy is Galen Gering in HD?|

Did we watch the same show? Youtube HD doesn't look all that HD to me but I'm no big Galen fan so I'll leave that be--but what was so spectacular about the writing, for example??

I have no idea what the Ausin Peck thin he keeps going on about is except I assume Nelson thinks he's slept with all the cast of ATWT. I don't really care...

Of course this is the man who spent the Fall trying to get everyone to watch his beloved One Life and then admitted in November that he hadn't watched it for over 6 weeks because of being too busy (I largely love One Life right now so don't get me wrong, but... cmon)

Really? The Venice I wanted on youtube HD looked amazing and very much HD.

I never was a galen fan until recently. he has improved leaps and bounds on DAYS.

I do admit he's improved, and I don/t watch Days regularly enough... (and I admit I wtached Venice on regular youtube so kinda lied lol) but... I stand by everything else I said

I blame Branco for ATWT's cancellation.
