I think this is an excellent casting idea in a kitschy, Dynasty sort of way. Reading her interview, I can see how she could encounter problems with being too pretty.

Never heard of her.

I guess you have to be of a certain age, and I take it you are not yet 40. She was quite famous as a supermodel when supermodels were sort of famous. Very beautiful.

Exactly. Everyone in the late 80s/early 90s knew "Paulina" (who was generally referred to by her first name.) She graced a couple of Sports Illustrated covers and was a contemporary of Naomi Campbell, Stephanie Seymour, Christy Turlington, etc.... I guess there's no such thing as supermodels anymore and that wouldn't bother me one bit if they hadn't been replaced by vapid famewhores and American Idol rejects.

She was also in a movie with Tom Selleck. She was on DWTS briefly, a few years ago. She seemed like a lot of fun, I guess she wasn't known enough to last longer.

I think I remember her best for this:

I didn't realize for years that all my favorite Cars songs were sung by their bassist.

See, I know those names, but hers is still strange to me. I *should* know who she is.

ooh I remember that movie! Its such an 80's movie - Her Alibi.

I guess in 10 years time, no one will remember who Elle Macphereson or Eva Herzigova are.

Well she's been the host of America's Next Top Model for the past two or three seasons so that should help some people recognize her. She was recently fired which caused lots of drama because she was so well received. They said budget cuts, but rumors say she and Tyra didn't get along. Paulina spoke out about it and how she was fired on her birthday. Her thing seemed to be that Tyra was a bit of a diva and for a model to say that it speaks volumes about just how eccentric Tyra is.
