November 28, 200916 yr Member Rihanna’s Rated R is reportedly now going for 99 cents. When Amazon.com announced that the digital version of Rihanna’s Rated R was set to sell for $3.99, most did not think they would ever consider dropping the price of the CD a second time; surprise, surprise. The slash in price is actually a part of a special Black Friday deal going on this week on Amazon.com that will allow the buying public to get their hands on $3 worth of MP3 albums. Rihanna’s Rated R is included in this deal allowing fans to purchase her new album for close to pennies. It’s interesting how the music industry has done everything but give the albums away for free to help cater to the music public who have become turned off by some artists’ new projects. Despite the major Def Jam marketing campaign for Rihanna’s new album, the singer’s projected first week sales for Rated R are said to be 165K. Of course this number could see a major change in its second week being that this is the holiday season. http://www.examiner.com/x-10519-RB-Music-Examiner~y2009m11d25-Rihannas-Rated-R-is-now-selling-for-99-cents Although I didn't love the album, it is definitely worth 99 cents. That's a great price for the three or four good tracks. Anything more is a waste of money on this crap.
