October 12, 200916 yr Member She confirms she's on contract as well: http://www.tvguidemagazine.com/soaps/rebecca-budig-returns-to-all-my-children-2769.html I also have to agree with her on this: Like when she almost shared her wedding day with the two lesbians? Don’t get me started. Greenlee and Bianca [Eden Riegel] had never been friendly. That never made any sense! WORD!
October 12, 200916 yr Member OH NO! A CONTRACT! She's not that great, Frons. What do you see in her? ETA: She emailed Frons and JHC? My goodness. Why does she feel the need to buddy up with these morons? Oh I know, just in case she needs a job. ETA: Well at least she makes one valid point: I want to play that interesting girl I played years ago. I think everyone at AMC wants to focus on character now, rather than having [plot move the show]. It’s about what’s going on underneath. They really want to revamp the show and take it in a better direction. Last time I was there, we kind of lost Greenlee along the way. I didn’t recognize her sometimes. October 12, 200916 yr Author Member If it's not about the money, why does she keep coming and going? If you love the show, why would you want to come and go from it, wouldn't you want to stay? LOL I love that she called Ryan a whore, he so is I want to play that interesting girl I played years ago. I think everyone at AMC wants to focus on character now, rather than having [plot move the show]. It’s about what’s going on underneath. They really want to revamp the show and take it in a better direction. Last time I was there, we kind of lost Greenlee along the way. I didn’t recognize her sometimes. So does she think Pratt is suddenly just going to get some writing talent and start writing Greenlee better?
October 12, 200916 yr Member The only way this show is going to be character driven, is if it hires another headwriter. Maybe that's the plan? And maybe that's the reason Pratt wasn't made EP upon the announcement of the LA move which some were expecting.
October 12, 200916 yr Author Member LOL she basically acknowledged the show is crap. So something has to be going on behind the scenes, cause unless she is a masochist, why would she return only to have Greenlee written as she was before?
October 12, 200916 yr Member Why are they now backpedaling away from Pratt telling people how Greenlee would live? Are they changing this story, or are they just hoping if they deny it, then the story will shock viewers? I know she has to say this stuff, but it's hard for me to believe she is returning because she wants to be with the family again. Her return was a bust, she has repeatedly trashed the writing for her return, and for all the talk about "revamp" and "better direction", the same people are still there, so how is it going to get better? AMC is as likely to not go "plot-driven" as Chuck Pratt is to send Bob Guza hate mail. I do have to laugh as she tries to push for David/Greenlee. She must know how wretched Rylee is for her character. I wouldn't mind David/Greenlee though. I wonder if the big change is going to be that Greenlee returns as a huge b!tch. Out for blood and all that. Edited October 12, 200916 yr by CarlD2
October 12, 200916 yr Member She is denouncing the show a bit in this article. So maybe change is gonna come?
October 12, 200916 yr Author Member Her and Vincent wanted D/G after Leo died(not right after), but TIIC shot it down
October 12, 200916 yr Member Her and Vincent wanted D/G after Leo died(not right after), but TIIC shot it down I notice she blames McTavish for that but I thought there was another headwriter before her. Was it that headwriter or McTavish who came up with Juan Pablo?
October 12, 200916 yr Author Member I think it was McT at that time. I remember reading that her and Vincent went to the EP or something like that, and pitched David and Greenlee and it got shot down. Now we know why, Frons had a hard on for Rylee
October 12, 200916 yr Member I notice she blames McTavish for that but I thought there was another headwriter before her. Was it that headwriter or McTavish who came up with Juan Pablo? I noticed that as well. It wasn't really McTavish that put put the kibosh on David/Greenlee. If anyone it was Budig's buddy Brian "AMC = Sex and the City" Frons who came in then and wanted Greenlee with the Fusion maintenance man.
October 12, 200916 yr Member Of course, she is coming back for the money and I don't care. I'm just happy to have Greenlee back.
October 12, 200916 yr Author Member I remember it being Nelson who said Rebecca was coming back but only on recurring status. What a shocker-he was WRONG
October 12, 200916 yr Member Of course, she is coming back for the money and I don't care. I'm just happy to have Greenlee back. I'm pretty sure RB is a trust fund baby and like Hunt Block doesn't need the money. The people who need the money are the once who don't have the luxury to keep running off to LA in hopes of doing better.
