I almost threw up in my mouth when I read this spoiler but then I thought this all falls into the show's master plan or perhaps Sony's and the show's way of shaving heads of this absurdly large cast that they have and CBS gave them the perfect opportunity to do so with the license renewal cut (which I am still LMAO about ). So I have to say I agree with you on the above. Maybe it's my experience during turnarounds but I see more horrid stories popping up just to get rid of "select cast members". The show is not even trying to hide this malarkey. If you are not "IN" with TPTB, you arse is toast!! Another thing that is becoming clear as well is now we have too many people in the supporting actor and actresses and younger categories so people have got to go. We literally can't even take any descriptions they come up with to heart. They reiterate how much Lily is like Dru for goodness sakes. The only way anyone would enjoy Y&R these days would be to see what trite appalling drivel tptb dump on the screen. You can't have been a fan for twenty years. You can't have a functioning brain. BTW, I also found it interesting that he revealed that there was VERY bad blood and things were extremely tense between Nia Peeples and Eva Marcille. Hmm...wonder why Nia got let go?? You can't question a motive or behavior because NOTHING is clear, you can't expect any reasoning or logic to be provided, you can't expect characters you feel you once knew to act like they are from this planet, you can't expect any buildup and simply you have to accept what they tell you on that given day only. Over the last decade or so, poor writing has robbed me of my ability and/or willingness to fully invest in story developments. There have always been plot twists and acts of revisionist history, but they have gone so next level with that stuff that the only thing I can expect to be final is the passing of a beloved vet. And what's even sadder is that it takes something tragic like that to make the shows pull out some stops and remind us of just how special the soap medium can be. Well perhaps she'll have a miracle baby someday. I was already imagining her and Cane adopting a (most likely non-black) baby. Ugh, I don't want to believe that decisions are racially motivated, I don't want to sound like a conspiracy theorist, I just want the people behind these shows to act like they've got some sense. If not, is it because they're white and therefore immune from this insanity? If yes, yikes. This story doesn't make any sense! Not only is Devon effing his aunt, he's effing his dad's girlfriend. That is not who Devon is. He's not a dirtly little pervert. Except now he is. KSJ taking the risk of speaking out (while everyone else continues to lie through their teeth and kiss MAB's ass) is making more and more sense all the time. For him, what't the big deal about fired if it goes that far, which is a real possibility with TIIC in chage. He's still a good-looking man with a huge fanbase. He's good as a chance fo finding something else on somewhere as anyone else on that show. But I don't know... if theyr'e gonna have Bierdz lock lips with a guy sometime in the next few months, AND let Devon give Tyra his corn dog.... then ma and pa kettle will REALLY be up in arms. Hope it doesn't make the ratings go down. I'm not sure incest is a chance they want to take right now. Although it's "not really". But anyway... if it means the destruciton of Devon, I'm all for it. If this Adam/Rafe thing is any indication of Maria's desire to show gay/bi/curious stories on soaps, then I have to expect that she will not live up to giving Phillip a love interest or any sort of action. Especially with Heather's understandable, but closed-minded "You cheated on me with a MAN!? You'll sleep with anything," speech from Friday's show. I almost expected Vail Bloom to(via the writers) utter the typical "Do you have AIDS?" from the list of man-to-man FAQs. And there are alot of people who don't like Devon. But that doesn't warrant turning him into some "pervert." It just shows Maria and Co.'s complete and utter lack of creativity. Do we not have enough perverse people on the canvas already? Ashley's molester doctor, Adam, Billy, Sharon? Do we need to add other people to the list? Regardless of how we feel about Devon or Bryton and his acting, he won an award that was given to him by his peers and you give him THIS for a story?! Some hastened plot where Devon suddenly wants to sleep with the woman who he has known all his life as his "Aunt Tyra"? Where's the logic? Where's the good taste?
