Members FrenchFan
I don't like it neither but I just have to remember Brad and the Nazis, and Sheila / Pheila to remember how I enjoy Y&R these days despite all these mistakes.
Members Stevie
I feel so horrible for KSJ, because I believe he is definately NOT liking this at all, I am sure the same for Bryton, as well.
Members rhythmchyc
Was Eva too black to go shag Billy? Hmm, he's literally integrated in every storyline these days but theirs. Oh well, I guess he doesn't dip it in everywhere after all. Also, will Roxanne actually see them having sex, coital-sweat and all? You're telling me we don't get love scenes between people who are actually in love but we have the awesome opportunity to see incest in all its gag-riffic glory? Well, color me green and call me pixie. I feel sorry for those who can't FF. Although those viewers probably stopped watching the show five years ago. I'm nearly incensed. And I don't even have to perform this s/l. My God, I think I'll actually stop watching Y&R.
Members rhythmchyc
I don't see the show retaining the ratings it currently has because of this. They can't honestly believe that people who tuned out of Y&R will tune in to watch non-descript black young man boink non-descript black young woman? I just don't understand what motivates these stories? What inspires these writers? These topics aren't even coming from a dark, painful place. They're infected by darkness instead. I just can't understand how these people are running this show without any strategic planning, without a deep well of pure ideas. How they can take Hogan's and the Bells' backwash from the past ten years and expect them to make Y&R sparkle like new is absurd. Also, if this is how it'll be until the end and these sadomasochists continue to dump disgusting story after disgusting story, can they at least have all the vets return in the last few episodes, like they're doing at GL? And I don't mean Michael Damian.
Members dm.
Nothing motivates them except money. MAB knows nothing about writing but since she was praised for her writing she decided to stay thinking "this is easy, we'll just throw in something dark because they seem to respond to that." And that's where Hogan and Scott jump in with their "brilliant" ideas.
Members Taiah
Yes Eva is too black for Billy or any other white dude. If you're not Christel, it ain't happening. Poor Roxanne and if they actually show it that means Devon's first sex scene is with his aunt

Members rhythmchyc
OMG. This is... I don't know what it is dammit. I cannot believe this show got worse than a goddamn fetal murder!?!? Fu cking... There are no words for this.
Members loveshery&r
That it is. Even if you were to find out you were not actually related to someone you believed your whole life you were, you still continue think of that person as your relative. Even kids sometimes call their parents' best friends, aunt and uncle. Y&R has once again crossed a major line for a lot of viewers.
Members Faulkner
So funny. In the thread about Bryton McClure being possibly dropped from the show, we complained about Devon being a "grown-ass man" who never got laid like his white brethren (the Scoobies, NOAH). Instead, Devon was emasculated and constantly getting the "kiddie stories" e.g. disabilities, adoption, etc. Well, I'm sure Hogan read that thread, got the cogs moving in that twisted brain of his, and whipped up this story to "make a man" of Devon. Except they didn't even bother to take the time to explore character motivation, which is a running theme with these writers. It shows a deep lack of respect for the audience and the characters. Of course, it doesn't make sense that a guy suddenly bangs a woman he thought to be his aunt for most of his life. (While I didn't care for the story, I could buy Devon falling for Lily. After all, they didn't grow up together and didn't have time to build a sibling bond.) Hogan et al were thinking, "Hey, Devon has a pattern of falling for relatives. Let's have him panting and thrusting away at Auntie Tyra. It'll fulfill our African-American story quota for the year." But no, it DOESN'T make sense! It's Apples (Lily) and Oranges (Tyra). And there's no explanation why Tyra and Devon HAVE TO HAVE each other so bad that they'd throw away strong relationships with Neil. It's fake, unearned, contrived father-son conflict, plus sick and seedy and totally out-of-left-field. They will essentially destroy Tyra and Devon and use the backlash excuse to write them off. I wouldn't mind seeing the backend of Tyra getting smaller and smaller, but Devon had potential.
Members SFK
It is sick when you think about it, it's like, "Instead of integrating Devon and Tyra with the rest of the cast creating possibilities for new romantic entanglements, we'll just stick them together in a 'risque' faux-incest s/l, essentially ridding ourselves of that pesky recurring girlfriend of his who will immediately lose interest. We've sown seed. This lends itself perfectly to the notion that the mental and emotional stress caused by the shame and disapproval of their relationship will prompt Devon and Tyra to begin a new life for themselves outside of Genoa City." And btw, can Lily still have children?
Members Y&RWorldTurner
This show is just f.ucking sick, and none of these hack writers learn from their mistakes. It's sad, really.
Members DRW50
I keep thinking about when they had Olivia go around saying Tyra was a young Drusilla. And now this new Dru is boning her boyfriend's son, after already sleeping with Neil with he was married. Now Drusilla wasn't a saint, but she was never this trashy. It shows just how interchanegable they must think black characters are.
Members lmfan
And what a family that would be: Ana's mother and her brother doing it. Tyra will be Devon's aunt/girlfriend and Devon will be Ana's brother/stepfather. Just so over the line. I feel bad for the actors. Is this the latest scheme by these writers. Make the characters you want to move off canvas so disgusting that the audience will be happy when they are written out?
Members loveshery&r
Ewww OMG I didn't even factor Ana into the equation (believe it or not the singing child was out of my head) and take it to that level. I just can't believe this. F'ing sick!!!!!!!
