Members lovely_m
I'm just going to keep thinking that this is just a rumor, I mean Maria has to know how unpopular Gloria is even though she is no longer on the frontburner. If this rumor is true, is it just an excuse to keep Judith Chapman on the show for good because legacy characters are more likely to stay? I have read online that Maria loves the dynamics of the Fisher-Baldwin clan.
Members lmfan
They'll probably make Gloria her daughter and then have Gloria and Jeffrey do something awful so that Katherine will disown her. Then they will break up Michael and Lauren, and have Michael and Kevin Katherine's grandsons. This way they will rid themselves of the Baldwin-Fisher family and still be able to keep CLB and GR as Michael and Kevin. They don't care about Lauren so will find some idiotic reason to break up Michael and Lauren, write Lauren and Fen off leaving Michael single and probably making Michael dark again as he will see himself as a failure to his son and family. Kevin already is well liked by Katherine and they will keep Jana around since they love the Scoobies.
Members lmfan
Are you kidding me? She obviously dislikes the Fisher-Baldwins. She keeps Lauren off screen for months and uses Michael about once a week to prop characters like Daniel. Gloria and Jeffrey are only on once in awhile, and are shown with no redeemable qualities. She liked Kevin and Jana, but you rarely see family scenes with the F-B's and they used to be a staple. Michael and Lauren's condo set has not been used since February and their son Fen has been off screen going on 8 months. If that is love, I hate to see what she would do if she disliked this family. Maria is in love with Kay and the Chancellors. Look at how many new characters have been added to that family. The mansion is overflowing.
Members lovely_m
No I'm not kidding. I'll agree with you about Lauren. Just because he's not on right now, doesn't mean MAB has treated Micheal badly. She gave Micheal not one, but two relatives. The only reason we don't have his father on the show anymore is because of budget reasons. Eden hasnt' been seen a lot, but neither have Noah or Abby. Sure Paul got a new relative, but that's more about Jack than him (I wouldn't be suprised if it continues to be that way after Paul finds out the truth) and she's crazy. Devon's insta relatives were more about tptb sad attempt at replacing Dru with Tyra. Let's look at the lawyers in this town. Micheal is superlawyer and he could get a man off for murder even if he did it in front of everyone, Heather couldn't convict a jaywalker, and Rafe will throw his aunt under the bus to get some. Which character had an entire episode dedicated to telling us how the world would suck without him in it? Paul, Neil, Brad, Jack....no, it was Micheal. That episode had inaccuracies that would make Y&RWorldTurners head explode. The fact that they are still on this show is proof that Maria doesn't hate them. Despite the fact that most hate them they are still on this show. The only families that have scenes are the Chancellors and the Winters(for now anyways until Lily's cancer storyline ends.) Sometimes we go months without seeing Neil's apartment or Paul's. When was the last time we saw Reed? We barely see Noah and Abby and their teenagers. Despite the fact that Neil had his own storyline he has gotten less airtime than Micheal who was just supporting (This is for the entire year and not just for July/August). Paul has a romance with the show's leading lady and still gets less airtime than Micheal. At least the Chancellors are a core family and Kay is a vet and beloved character. Members lovely_m
I mentioned Eden and River because out of all the characters on this show she gave Micheal relatives. It at least it shows that she has an intrest in him and his family. If I had my choice I would have brought on Scotty Granger, Lauren's son. Maria needs to get over her Scoobies obsession and I don't know what it is about the Bells' and Amber that they love so much to put her ahead of legacy characters in terms of storylines. My point is that when it comes to neglected chracters Micheal is treated pretty well. I wouldn't be opposed of him and Lauren having a storyline without the rest of the Fishers. Hopefully Maria will eventually get to them, she finally got around to Jt and Victoria. Billy is an Abbott Nina will be gone in a few months Phillip3 will be gone in six months Murphy is barely seen For a while the Chancellors only had Jill, Katherine, and Cane. If those god awful rumors are true, why would Maria make Gloria the daughter of one of her favorite characters (Katherine) if she hated her so much. Members MoTheGreat
Well her really daughter can always come back as a lesbian. I think viewers are going ot be mad that they went this route.
Members lmfan
I think the reason there is talk of Gloria is because she is the only one on cnvas that is the appropriate age. Michael is about 45 and we know Gloria had him when she was 15, so she is no older than early 60s which has to be true for Jill also since she had Philip young (18) and her grandson is probably early 20s. I don't really think they would make Gloria her daughter and if they did, they would soon get rid of her so it would really connect Kevin and Michael to her than Gloria. Still, I don't think it will be Gloria. I don't know why they need to even bring her daughter on the scene. She has enough characters to interact with already and even though I like Jeanne Cooper alot, she does not need yet another big story this year. Members Dr Neil Curtis
Julia Barr as Katherine's daughter and a young son to give Abby something to do.
Members Heyou
I'd love to see Julia Barr on this show but please not with a teenager perhaps another 20-30 something. Plus, that would be in your face to Frons in regards to how they treated her when she departed.
Members loveshery&r
Someone told Michelle Stafford on Twitter something along the lines of that he/she heard that Kim Zimmer was coming on to play Katherine' daughter. Michelle responded something along the lines of really, for sure and that she couldn't be more excited. I tend to doubt it but just throwing it out there, considering I hear that Jeanne Cooper and Christian LeBlanc are crossing over to GL before it ends, again is this confirmed?
