June 23, 200916 yr Member If they don't write for her and never have, what's the use of keeping her under contract and paying her for nothing? The ones in the younger crowd that aren't being written for are the hair models of the 20's set and this is JMO, but it looks like they realize there's a problem... hence the alleged downgrading of a few of said actors. ETA: Sursok had plenty of time on screen to wow the audience when she took AL's job; I just don't think she has, at least not like her 2 predecessors did since fans are still talking about this egregious casting. I don't want to get into yet another debate on my LEAST favorite subject especially since she can't act for [!@#$%^&*]. Edited June 23, 200916 yr by Heyou

Yeah, but they realize it's a problem and they do nothing about it. Again, this show makes it so easy to hate on it.
June 23, 200916 yr Member Yea, they make you want to bang your head like Homer Simpson. I think you hit the nail on the head with MAB biting off more than she can chew. There is too much crap that has left for sh!t such as the writing, casting, blah blah\lh
June 23, 200916 yr Member MAB's problem and this is a HUGE problem is that she writes for her favorite actors and not for what should be the central characters. It doesn't matter if Heinle, Tom, Tognoni or Pepe Le Pew is playing Victoria. The character should have her own story.
June 23, 200916 yr Member ANYWAY, can we get back on topic (RE: Victoria)? Please? That would be welcome... These days it seems that ANY topic on Y&R turns into writers talk... For one minute we're discussing Victoria, but then it's back to repeating the same problems Y&R has over and over again...

Hmm.. central characters right now are Victor, Ashley, Jack, Nick, Sharon, Phyllis, Adam, Billy, Mac, Chloe, and to a lesser extent lately Kay, Jill, Nina... So yeah, Victoria is missing, but outside of Victoria, who else should be central, that isn't being used right now?! If these are MAB's favorite characters, I am all for it. I don't miss not having Winters family. They are amazingly bornig. I could have even put Daniel, Amber, Kevin and Jana as front runners, but didn't.. So I really don't see who she's neglecting.. Nikki and Victoria? I can give you them.. Michael and Lauren? Paul? Gloria & Jeff? No thanks. Edited June 23, 200916 yr by Manny

BUT, the casting for this particular role seems to be part of the problem along with some of the other roles. Therefore, MAB needs to deal with the casting issues at hand.
June 24, 200916 yr Member So I really don't see who she's neglecting.. Nikki and Victoria? I can give you them.. Michael and Lauren? Paul? Gloria & Jeff? No thanks. Colleen. If Lily, Chloe and Amber deserve to be frontburner, so does she.
