well the team at days has done more justice for Suzanne Rogers, Peggy McCay, John Aniston, and Joe M than any other writer in the past 10-15 years.

With this news, I will become a full time Days watcher again.

i dont want the carly and bope traingle stuff now all they need to do is back billie now so we can have a trainge of carly and billie and bope not i am bope fan forever.

I know this may just be about budget, and using what they have, but yes, I've been impressed at how DAYS has used these key characters. Maggie is a key character and it's been very nice for viewers to be reminded that Suzanne Rogers is an Emmy-winning actress, and to be reminded of what a force Victor can be. That doesn't translate to knowing what to do with Carly, but I'm hoping they'll have good story for her.

I can see why she would have wanted to move to Y&R, especially since Paul Rauch helped give Olivia some of her best material, but Y&R is full of women in her age range. She's probably better off at DAYS.

The buried alive storyline got me hooked on this show.

With Carly returning, Bo & Hope will be getting some more airtime!!

I really think Days lost most of its vet-happy viewers from 2004-2007. The viewers who are left are just happy with their show feeling like Days again. The big thing to learn from Days stopping the bleeding on their ratings and rising to #3 in households (which really... they're #3 because ABC soap fans are so unhappy right now), is that you should never mess with a formula. Just because it works on another show, doesn't mean it will work on THIS show. I really think Days got back to just regular soapy stories, with secrets and scandals and big reveals for Sweeps, and didn't try to reinvent the wheel... and the fans were just thrilled to have something familiar after so many years of mass confusion.

I like Hope and this still made me laugh.

I think Hope and Carly *are* a long time coming and could be great fun on DOOL.

I'll start watching again for this return. My Lady already watches everyday and she's over the moon over this news.

I adored Carly back in the day. Crystal is such a well-rounded actor now and can really do just about anything. She's a chemistry and energy-generator and could be paired with others besides Bo even if Bo and Hope stay together.

This would be an organic triangle for Bo and Hope, imo...one based in the history of the characters, just like it should be. I also agree that Chappell was closest Reckell ever got to chem like he has with KA.

Please, please, please bring back Vivian!

They probally will.I wouldn't like that either but her character on GL was a mega bad girl which is odd because Carly and Olivia were such differnt characters.

Olivia was a very complex woman. She was one of the few antiheroines on soaps in the last decade. Sometimes she was pure evil but sometimes she was very vulnerable and her heart was in the right place.

I don't think Carly should be a villain but I think they have room to make her complex. She should be, since she's tied to the Dimeras and Victor.

The only thing i want to point out is that i think Days deserves a lot more credit for being number three than abc soaps bleeding fans. They are UP from last year, one of the only soaps to be. Whatever its doing, they are not only keeping the audiance it has, but gaining a new one/luring an old one back. Sure they lose viewers week to week some weeks, but they also gain. For the most part tho this entire year the show has been UP in the ratings, and thats not because other soaps are falling. Something is making people tune back in.
