I always thought CE looked enough like PB that, if they wanted to, they could retcon Hope's friendship with Jack and say -- one time -- they did it behind the barn or something. So that Adam could turn out to be Jack's son.

But, with the Muhney recasting, that isn't going to work at all.

You wanna retcon Hope into a cheap slut? LOL! Or maybe it wasn't Hope's fault. She was blind ya know and Jack might have been doing a great impression of the Mustache.

If I were going to do a major retcon, I would have left Kay/Jill alone and gone for something HUGE -- making Nick into Jack's son. That leaves Victor with only the wretched Adam as a son and would deprive Victor of his life-long dream of leaving his empire to his son. A fitting punishment for Victor. Also, considering that the Quad is played out, making Jack & Nick into father and son (and Noah now being Jack's grandson) would create a fascinating new dynamic for them to play.

LOL. Don't forget, Billy could VERY LIKELY be the Moustache's son! Jill did TGVN right around that time. We could retcon the sh!t out of these families .

MTS & EB have been consistent over many writing regimes.

I can't just say that all the actors under MAB are all better just because they have more rehearsal time. A lot of people are still phoning it in. And let's compare Eva Marcille to Marisa Ramirez for a second. Wouldn't you trade Tyra in for Carmen in a New York second?

Now LML was queen of ridiculous plots. Oh, boy, was she ever. Certain actors though did better under her than they are doing now. If you've never liked Daniel Goddard or Joshua Morrow than I guess you can't see it, but those of us who have enjoyed their acting at one time or another can see it.

Nick was probably more Josh at that time. The thing about Josh is he isn't a BAD actor, he certainly isn't bad as who Nick is supposed to be he just has limited range. LML gave him very little in her whole tenure that forced him to step out of his element, MAB is doing the opposite and that's why he's showing inconsistency. I can't judge DG in the role of CANE objectively and w/o bias at this point. That has got to be one of the most confusing characters written on this show.

Believe me, I know LML is a hack. My comment about the acting was just that -- there are certain performers (who I mentioned) that I like more back then than I do today.

I liked him when he was a hero, scaling poles with JT, in Clear Springs' disaster.

Everyone watching the Tonys now? NPH is so hot. I wish Billy Abbott's character was more like Barney Stinson, a fun & unapologetic womanizer. They really ruined Billy when they saddled him with the kid & wife.

I can scarcely admit this....I'm watching Gene Simmons Family Jewels...for the first time in my life...and finding it quite amusing. Don't judge me.

Most people felt like you about Clear Springs. I kind of liked that one-week change of pace, although obviously when I saw how little "story impact" it had -- or was meant to have -- I became less impressed. The only lasting thing to come out of it is Kay-Amber's friendship.

I love it when shows spend money on looking good. I like fresh flowers in the Newman living room, extras at Jimmy's, stylish clothes on Kay, etc. I just can't stand seeing money wasted on stuff like Clear Spring and the Paris shoot, especially when we're losing icons like MTS. I have an aversion to sweeps events like Clear Springs or AMC's tornado.

I think the Paris shoot was a cheapie, bankrolled by the French station that carries the program. I definitely think it was not a typical full-priced location shoot, or they wouldn't have done it.
