Exclusive: Young L Word Star Is Feeling Restless

Clementine Ford, the eldest child of Cybill Shepherd and a recent cast member of The L Word (where she played Molly), is joining The Young and the Restless in the contract role of Mackenzie "Mac" Browning, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively.

Although Mac returns to Genoa City on Wednesday, April 1, her presence will be no joke to ex-husband Billy. The young lovebirds were married for the blink of an eye several years ago, until they discovered they were, you know, cousins. At that instant, they had their union annulled.

Y&R viewers, however, have since learned that the two might not have blood between them. Regardless, Mac will resurface at a most inconvenient time for Billy.

Mac previously has been played by Ashley Bashioum, Kelly Kruger and, most recently, Rachel Kimsey.

Hmmmm... I was hoping it would turn out to be Bashioum, but instead they were just looking for a big name actress, although I have personally never heard of her.

She looks a bit old in those pictures, not exactly like Mac should look.

Looks-wise, I think she's OK for a role like Mac. She isn't traditionally beautiful, she's beautiful in her unique way, which is how Mac is supposed to be. The pics don't really do her justice, she looked a lot better on The L Word.

She's the same age as Billy Miller.

That picture you posted looked better, I was talking about the picture on TV Guide.

I hope she does well. Billy has his hands full, huh? Lily (okay not so much anymore), Chloe, Sharon and now maybe Mac?

She looks like a grown-up Mac to me. If we can go from David Tom to Billy Miller, then (assuming Ford can keep up with the daytime pace) I don't see any reason not to give her a chance. Although I do think Miller and Hendrickson have had a year to build up their connection/chemistry -- so the scales will definitely be tipped in the Chloe direction. Just because Billy-and-Mac were always The Couple, doesn't necessarily mean the fans now will want them together. Not if Miller and Ford don't have the spark.

Then again, it would take an actress of tremendously awful UNtalent to not have chemistry with Miller. Not since Tom Eplin have I seen a daytime actor capable of bringing ANY scene partner he's with to life.

I liked Clementine a lot on The L Word opposite Kate and hopefully she does well here, I don't see her as a big name unless you go by who her mother is. I'm excited to for her debut.

I thought that was Kassie DePaiva for a sec.

I wasn't the only one eh Lol/ Well at least she comes from a reputable show..... maybe this won't be as bad as I am expecting. I doubt she'll top AshBash though.
